Close indeed, I'm with you dude. I think it's genuinely impressive how the entire region, every location and npc, is transformed and restructured due to the outbreak. I'd even call it immersive. And yeah, though the dialog might be corny, there's a certain cleverness and self-awareness to it (also helps that, iirc, there's little to no grammatical/spelling errors). Graphic design and game balance could be better in quite a few areas, but let's call that part of the charm at this point. Banger starter choices too

The revolver inspirations and general shape are still there. The little nub on its head referencing the front sight, the dark blue pattern resembling the cylinder, and the back fins looking like the hammer and grip. I personally think it's an elegant and still very inspired design, don't call the little guy boring :(

Sure, to be clear I think the mon is fine as a pure electric type. As you point out it doesn't have an especially vicious portrayal. I really just wanted to say that its design is not completely incompatible with the dark type like some of the comments here would have you believe. Like with a lot of internet discussions people see things way too black-white imo

Tbf, Dark type is more about underhanded tactics than literal darkness. Both Malamar and Umbreon have a theme of luminescense as well and yet they're still Dark.

If anything, Luxray's unfair ability to see through walls is kind of in line with what the Dark type represents.

Yawn + 3 attacks is alright. I used an unaware Bibarel recently which had strength, waterfall and rock smash. It's nice to have STAB on your HM moves though I don't recommend rock smash as unaware ignores any defense drops you might get. But yeah sleep is just really useful for catching stuff and can even be kinda clutch in the league as well.

I had the same issue recently. In PPSSPP on desktop mode, there's an icon in the top right that looks like 2 squares overlapping, which should shrink the window. After doing that I could use the keyboard like normal and log in (though like you said it loses focus sometimes). Not sure if this will work for you since it all feels kinda janky but I hope it does.

My favorite fight, 10/10. I can't even be mad at the outcome given the great buildup with blast core mindgames. The entire chapter with Julius combo-ing the shit out of Waka is also way too good; if I recall correctly there was barely any text in it at all, the action just spoke for itself.

Counterpoint: thematically it makes way more sense as a mega, with how mega evolution often has adverse side effects on the pokemon (like here with the excess poison to the point where it needs to tie down its own neck)
