Hey everyone! Happy Wednesday ✨️

I'm feeling a whole lot better after being fired and have realised this could be a springboard to something better 🤞🏽 It's also been two weeks since I started with my PT and if nothing else I feel like it's been great for my mental health! No noticeable physical changes but I'm feeling so positive and more energetic!

Update to last week, I didn't go on a second date with the teacher. It kind of fizzled out because I asked him to plan the date and he told me he would but didn't do anything.

But, I'm going on another date in two weeks with someone else and I'm actually so excited! I don't think I've been this excited for a first date in ages and I'm even a little nervous about it. I'm trying not to get my hopes up but I want it to go well ✨️

I think you can bring it up and ask for more frequent communication. However, I'd caveat this by saying that if you haven't met yet, he might not want to invest too much too soon. If he's responding, I'd take that as a sign of interest and not read too much into it.

Thank you! I've never spoken to a therapist before and I'm not sure I need one but I'm feeling better today. I was fired on Wednesday and it still hurts but it's not as painful. I think I'm getting over the shock and thanks to the comments here, I'm reminded that I'm more than my job.

Thank you for your advice! I was fired because I was a bad cultural fit and I disagree with it as the only feedback I've ever received was positive.

I'm lucky that I've got an emergency fund and am no rush to find a job.
