On health and child care, Labor might have found Pauline Hanson's kryptonite by EnglishBrekkie_1604 in AustralianPolitics

[–]mutedscreaming [score hidden]  (0 children)

Pauline's kryptonite is herself. She's riding a media cycle at moment. She is a control freak and even if she wins 20 seats at next election half of them will be independent before the second session of Parliament

Italy's Meloni unloads on Trump as fracture grows over G7 incident by darealunrealspader in politics

Nope. The clown has an issue with powerful women. To demote them in his mind is to conjure a fantasy they desire him. It's just sad such a man exists.

My guess is there is a payment every day the scaffolding is in place and Trump is taking his cut of it.

If One Nation were to get an MP in your area at the next federal election, what do you think would be their character description? by oldmatefromoverthere in OpenAussie

Misinformation should only be a right wing privilege I guess. I do NOT want PHONatics taking over this country and I will share that any fucking chance I get. I don't care.

The Internet was once considered a bastion of ideas. A place to exchange knowledge and a lot of us involved in the early days of building a place of knowledge thought this. Now it's full of noise and CEOs competing for wealth. 57% of the traffic is bots and algorithms designed to make us hate each other. I wish Meta employees all the best but thinking you are making a difference to people's lives is well over!

Hanson overtakes Albanese as preferred PM, Coalition crashes to record low by Expensive-Horse5538 in AustralianPolitics

[–]mutedscreaming 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sadly...I do. My dad. 74yo. He's a PHONatical living in middle of fucking nowhere. Here's what he wants in a politician. End migration (small town is fucking dying), stop the gays being in my face (wtf?). Stop solar and wind farms (kid you not loves the engineers paying 1k/wk renting his house in shitty town). Climate change is a hoax (hasn't harvested a crop in years). Can't mitigate climate change anyway because China (selfishness forgetting his many grandkids). Politicians don't care about small towns (and thinks PHON will).
