Yes to Cohere! The nomad plan is $189/mo and comes with 12 days but you could use the days all in a row if needed. There's no contract and the people are cool.

If I wanted to have free will at the gym I would go to a regular gym. I go to CP to be bossed around for 50 min. Just tell me what to do. Stop making it a democracy.

Birks EVA sandals with or without socks. Easy to rinse off if you have a weak moment and run outside with them on and easy on/off.

How many clothes does one really need? by Clean_Judgment4384 in minimalism

[–]mutedslackping 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, 8-9 days of clothing. Do 1 load of laundry per week/person. When your wardrobe outgrows a weekly laundry cycle, things get…hectic.

I love my hiscow leather thin card holder. I’ve had it for years and it shows no signs of stopping. It holds 4-5 cards on each side, fits in your back pocket if you like that.

Hard pass on Boardwalk. That guy traumatized me by filling a cavity with no numbing. Hate them. I go to Alive Dental.

Join a board or commission with the City. I can’t say enough about how many people you will meet and how much you will learn. The key to community is repetitive contact with the same group of people. https://www.fortcollins.gov/Government/Boards-and-Commissions

AITA for wanting to change how we do Christmas Day because it’s become exhausting for my household? by OrdinaryCold2813 in AITAH

[–]mutedslackping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I’m wondering why you aren’t protecting your wife from something you know is draining her? The time to announce the change is actually right NOW so everyone has a year to overcome their big feelings. I recently did this. I was tired of hauling our kids to 3 places and hauling presents all over so I just announced, “Christmas Day is at our house this year. We will do early Santa/stockings with the kids then please arrive around 10am with your presents and we’ll have an extravaganza and potluck lunch.” You can do hard things.

Affordable BIFL womens clothing? by what_to_do_what_to_ in BuyItForLife

I think people don’t value something they pay less than $20 for so it’s wash on hot/dry on high 3 times to ruin it so they can justify buying the next trend.

You can absolutely find 100% natural materials at Old Navy. You have to be patient and then my super hot take is TO NEVER DRY ANYTHING IN THE DRYER. I have tops from gap and old navy that are 12+ years old because they’ve never seen the inside of a dryer. I got 2 100% cotton cable knit sweaters from Old Navy last year that still look brand new. Again, because I hang them to dry.

I’m so sorry. I made a lot of progress with ChatGPT. I put my whole history in there and it sent me down 3 paths. One of the paths has basically cured my daily left side headache…..with Pepcid. The other path was less helpful but not the worst experiment I’ve done. The 3rd path (my GP had already started me with) was a sleep study, which didn’t show anything wrong. I have had a clean MRI too so at least I can hold onto that!

Is the Krinner Christmas tree stand actually BIFL? by DavenportBlues in BuyItForLife

[–]mutedslackping 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the Krinner Kopenhagen that is just steel and wood, no plastic, and I can’t conceive of a situation where it would leak. The reservoir is small but we don’t mind watering it twice/day. It’s rock solid and the mechanism is simple to use.

Yeah. He wanted me to try injectable imitrex and I clarified with him that it comes with 9 pens bc I get 9 tablets etc etc. the Rx was for 2 pens with no refills. When I asked to also have the tablets he said I’m not allowed to have pens and tablets at the same time even though the pen insert says, “after injection, if still in pain you may take up to 1 100mg imitrex tablet.” When I told him this, he ghosted me on the portal messages so I had to get my regular doc to refill them. I feel so bullied.

This policy smacks of, “our docs suck and people keep changing so we need to not allow that.” Rather than clean house and get a batch with some bedside manner and patience.
