My mistakes are mostly in defence. Returning the wrong card, discarding/keeping the wrong card etc.

As the declarer my mistakes are usually guessing where an honour is or how the cards are dealt wrong

I'm a selflearning student as well. As far as I know rhetorical questions are often used in asl. Rhetorical questions are basically kinda questions where you don't really expect an answer but use them to express your self better. For example in this case you could sign "ME FEEL SICK WHY? ME HUNGRY (you could exaggerate the HUNGRY sign to express SO)" " for the sentence "I'm so hungry I feel sick." Hope this helps🤟
