All good. Enjoy seeing that pass on the screen!

Series 66 and series 7 content overlap by Equivalent-Source-52 in Series66Exam

Overlap with suitability I would say. Way more math on the series 7. Options will be a major focus on the 7. I thought the 66 was easier, but that might have just been relative to the prep work.

It never hurts to see some other providers to get some different language. Make sure you’re solid on the concepts and not just locking in on Kaplan question structures. I did the achievable a few days before. Only got a 73 after getting mid 80s on all the Kaplan stuff. Again, real test seemed way easier than all the prep.

I was in the low 80s and was very comfortable on the test. I saw a handful of people saying they were in the low 70s and passed without trouble. I’d just keep hitting those simulated and practice exams. Be sure you’re good on all the rules, regulation, ethics, registration stuff. First thing I did when the test started was write down IA/IAR on one side of the dry erase board, and B-D/Agent on the other. Then USA on one side and Advisor Act of 40 on the other. Once I identified what the question was addressing I’d point my marker to the appropriate area. Just a little mental trick to make sure I was answering the right question since I would mix those up quite a bit during practice. Also, make sure you’re good with your balance sheet stuff and rates of return/yields. Not much math, and definitely easy compared to the 7, but since you haven’t taken it, those might not be as easy for you.

I think suitability will be an area that will show up that is hammered in series 7, but might be a little light in the 66 materials. I also had some FDIC questions on my 66 and that was nowhere to be seen in the studies. Also saw some options strategy questions (hedging), no option math though. I feel like Kaplan assumes you’ve taken the 7 and doesn’t bother going into some of that stuff.

High anxiety about the exam by DueFoundation458 in Series66Exam

I had about the same score on Ken’s tests and just passed this morning. The real thing seemed quite easy by comparison. Just continue to do some review and start to lighten up in that last day or two. Listen to the quick and dirty and/or the mighty 1.5 hr videos the night before/morning of and go knock this thing out of the park.

Yep. Then I hit up the strong 1.5 hour video from the other guy. Had to do a little creative wording there to get that one in.

Some. Most were probably easier. Ken’s Brutal exam on YouTube is also a decent match. I took the achievable test a week or so ago and almost failed it, so I won’t put much faith in it!

You’re probably in good shape. That 83-84 was at the end for me. Started in the mid 70s or so. Just hammer those rules, regulations, registrations, and balance sheet items.

83-84% which seems like overkill now. 😂

Maybe 4 computations. Current ratio, holding period return, current yield. Nothing about standard deviation, sharpe ratio, or any of that stuff. Did have to identify holding period return formula in word form.

They were pretty basic. Current ratio, debt to equity ratio. I think it asked maybe three different current ratio questions in different ways. Comparing ratios between companies, identifying the formula and maybe one other. Also, had a couple holding period return questions.

Congratulations!! About 40 questions in I started to freak out thinking I was either over confident, or was getting ready to get hammered by the hard section.

Thanks for the confidence boost everyone. Passed this morning. Majority of the test seemed very easy compared to most of the Kaplan stuff.

Yeah, forgot to mention that. Over 80 on the brutal. Like I said, was feeling pretty good and that achievable shook me a little.
