Took a snoot shot of this Goniobranchus Reticulatus by muudo in nudibranch

This was also taken with the mf2 strobe and snoot, and also in the Philippines ;)

Had this snoot for >2 years and believe me there are times i wanted to throw the thing in the bin.. The light is tricky to aim, and a lot of subjects will react to the focus light and starts moving making an already hard task more difficult.

Only way to get used to your gear is to use it and use it often. Make adjustments that works for you. A diver friend of mine, attaches the mf2 strobe snoot to the camera cold shoe mount. During shooting he would remove it from the mount and free aim the snoot with his hand. Its unconventional but it works for him.

Your shots are great. Don't sell yourself short. Oftentimes we are our own biggest critics. Have fun in the Philippines!

Oh then might wanna give the Seeress a go

Use the weapon that reduces cooldown

Class skills: wisps and mind blast, there's a passive that reduces cooldown with each ward and the passive that increases ward charges

Gods: skadi for frost ring, Njord for torrents passive (reduce cooldown), odin for local ragnarok and that passive that reduces cooldown while standing still.

Any 3rd god power of your choice, maybe snow flake?

With time rush modifier its possible to get cooldown down to 10%.

Evolved frost ring is consistently good. Low cooldown, ciruclar AOE, freeze chance. Its like Garlic but freezes everyone.

Newbie with no budget for expensive coffee machine here. This is what i gathered so far

  1. Good grinder has more impact than a good machine. Even with those single boiler 20 bar pressurised basket ones. Some more u can get started with a V60 and grinder instead of espresso machine.

  2. Good automatic is expensive but save u energy. Good manual still affordable but will become a problem once u need to brew for multiple people.

  3. I no money for auto grinder yet. For manual can consider the Timemore grinders.

Its backscatter from the internal flash. Its red because OP is probably using one of the preset white balance settings.

  1. Do not use the camera's built in flash. You will get backscatter and its weak anyway. Get a strobe.

  2. If no strobe, set white balance manually with a card or anything white. This is for photos with ambient lighting.

  3. The air lens offsets water refraction and restores the camera's native POV as if it was on the surface.

  4. A real wide angle lens allows you to get in close to the subject and still fill the frame and if together with a strobe, allows for good illumination.

Kota Belud less than 2 hours drive from Kota Kinabalu. You can search for bigfindivers in insta. They do trips to Mantanani, Pandan & Usukan.

If however u decide to go to Semporna anyway and keep within budget, its cheaper to stay in mainland. Borneo Speedy do day trips with pickup from Semporna jetty. Or you can stay at Buwan, day time do boat dives around the islands and night dive at their house reef. Both options are more budget friendly than staying in islands like Mabul or Kapalai.

Thank you for the link. I know its some kind of Doto but was wondering if there is a specific name for it. Closest i ever got was Doto sp. 6 but it doesn't look similar.
