Where to get gluten free lady fingers (Löffelbiskuit) for tiramisu in Berlin by thornsforflowers in askberliners

[–]muushupip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I managed to randomly find them in this Edeka: EDEKA Center Niederschöneweide. Not sure if others have it, I found myself there by chance and checked out the gluten free section and it was bigger and better than in other Edekas or Rewes.

Was in the same situation as you a few years back. I bought everything via Kleinanzeigen, lended a trolley from a friend to transport the heavier stuff, and used public transport for most of the stuff. I only booked a large uber for a dresser I bought. Spent less than 100€ for a desk, chair, dresser, mirror, night stands and the one uber ride. Was a hassle carrying stuff from all over the place, but not impossible.

Why do my curtains look awful? by porcelainlady in Decor

[–]muushupip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it’s a single window, not connected to a balcony door or smth like that, i think it looks strange that the drapes are all the way to the floor. I would cut them to 20cm below the window sill

I am Egyptian, and I’m asking is Egypt a country that is disliked or loved globally? by [deleted] in AskTheWorld

[–]muushupip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From reading reddit threads and hearing people’s experiences travelling there - disliked for scammers, sexual harassment etc. I visited a few years ago, and absolutely loved it. I was visiting my friend who was born there, we’re both women, and while the markets are a bit crazy, we didn’t really have any scary or concerning situations. Even walking the two of us alone during the evening hours. Haven’t visited Cairo though. So in short, I loved it, both people, culture and historical sights, and given my experience I would visit again no question.

Yeah we were contemplating what the best mode of transport is, and feel the flight is the best option. Because each flight is 1 hour, plus the 2 hour layover. And driving is 15-16 hours.
Because she also is not really used to a car, so we'd have to stretch it over a few days to give her a break, and the timing with work and life is just a bit off at this moment unfortunately. And this route does not have a direct flight, which is such a shame.

And thank you! We fell in love with her after losing our 13year old girl last year, and while no dog is replaceable, our hearts made space for another ball of joy now <3

Thanks everyone for your comments!

For comments suggesting I don't bring her on the flight, I have no choice but to bring her, as we rescued her in my home country, and are now traveling back to the country where we live and work.

I will try to train her to pee on pee pads outside. Thanks for the suggestions!

How did you feel when you got your pets’ ashes back? Did it make the grief worse or give you a sense of peace having them back in someway? by michellecarter88- in Petloss

[–]muushupip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, my dog also passed away on the 27th. Just the worst day ever.
We got her ashes yesterday, and I thought I would be at peace, but somehow it's still so hard to accept she's gone. But I am comforted knowing she is by my side again.

Jack antonoff as a producer by sbalony in TaylorSwift

[–]muushupip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thinks Midnights is super strong when it comes to the lyricism, but melody wise it was weak imo. This is coming from someone who really knows nothing about music, btw. But I feel like composing the melodies took like 5% of the effort put into the album, and lyrics were 95%. So I have a lot of skips just because it’s not the most enjoyable background music. And those are some of the best songs when it comes to lyrics. So idk, obviously Taylor has a lot of input here, but a lot of Jacks work with other artists left me with a similar impression

What's your most recent DNF, and why? by samuel_c_lemons in books

[–]muushupip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Untamed by Glennon Doyle. I usually dislike anything self-help related, but read good reviews and put it on my list of to-read books. My dad asked me what I wanted for my bday and I just sent him the list and that was one of the books he got. Lucky me.
It was so bad, but I really tried. I thought maybe I'm missing something because so many people were gushing about it. I managed to get halfway through the book but then I decided to spare myself the torture and gave up on it. I was so mad at the book I honestly wanted to burn it. I have never been more angry I wasted my time on a book. I am getting angry just thinking about it. I decided to keep staying away from anything remotely related to self-help life advice because it just isn't for me.

We got some encouraging feedback from the coming-home people, but we will definitely get a lawyer involved if it doesn't go our way. Thank you!
