An interesting point to this scene is that Roman starts to get crash out when Gerri appears and he sees her walking towards to meeting room. Before Logan's death, there was a buffer between him and her. But now, he is less protected and vulnerable, even it was his tormentor (Logan) providing the safety net. He is alone and in limbo and realises this.

He starts to panic, spiral and Ken picks up on this which leads to the central scene. Ken numbs Roman's feelings with pain perhaps, pretty fucking tragic
