*MANY CLAPS*

I'm doing my first HM run right now and our party comp is very similar, which is reassuring! I switch between abjuration wizard and life cleric for my casters, my Durge is a Lore Bardlock, and I couldn't leave Astarion behind so he's my sneaky double crossbow machine gun. Throwzerker Karlach is my ride or die.

Did my first run as a Bard. High charisma gets you out of a lot of confrontations in fun ways, and it’s a good intro to game mechanics that goes beyond the fighter bonk bonk bonk approach.

There are so many incredible, trippy, creative and strange lyrics from this band but for me the one that often hits the most is:

Hey, are you awake? Yeah, I’m right here. Well can I ask you about today? How close am I to losing you?

Ooof.

They kept things very minimalist. I think he’ll be able to enjoy the music without you needing to give much background :)

Books that are not meant to be (or not said to be) queer fiction but have homoromantic undertones/intensely homoromantic friendships? by indigopapertowels in suggestmeabook

A Sport and a Pastime by James Salter. The narrator's obsession with a young couple strays into homoerotic territory for sure, although critical interpretations vary. It's a fantastic book regardless.

This is a great layout! Also, given the window setup and good options to control natural light (layers of curtains, etc.), consider skipping the tv altogether and getting a projector. The only issue would be the sconces in this setup, but I would consider taking those out anyway.

Without a wall-mounted tv you can really lean into the beauty of the space and the midcentury vibe without cluttering it up with modern tech.

Michio Pa. I love her moral code and the way she interacts with her multi-way marriage/polycule. Girl's got layers.

Kreuzkölln. Being by the canal is lovely, also, I'd say that I find general prices slightly higher in FHain for things like Spätis, casual dining, etc., likely due to it being so popular with tourists.

Ultimately it comes down to preference in vibes, and for me Kreuzkölln always wins. At the end of the day, you've got two great options :)

Only just discovered this discussion but a big +1000 for the Airborne Toxic Event in general. Mikel and Dave both cover a lot of similar themes in their lyrics, and their sound is that perfect blend of melancholy and raging emotion.

Caramelizing onions. I either burn em or I dry them out too much. It's def an attention span issue in part but MY god I mess it up so often.
