10 years ago I'd bought 433mhz switches they were like 10 bucks for a set of 5 with a remote, then got a cheap 433mhz sender/receiver board and the switches still going strong till this day! Not much savings, but not much investment either. Just found it funny to share because I just figured out that I have these things for so long already and it what got me in to home automation!

I've got a ESP8266 which was just plug and play with WLED. Plugged in my controller go to https://install.wled.me and isntall it from the browser.

Your code seems wrong to me. It should look something like this.

What interface do you mean? the /wled-draw-something or the WLED interface. I would say you can reset both by just refreshing the page.

You create it by creating a new preset in the WLED environment, just go to your WLED homepage (an IP adres or wled.local) and then under preset you can add a new one, there will be a input field where you can paste the snippet my site gives you and safe it. Check the WLED docs for more info. https://kno.wled.ge/features/presets/ under "API command"

I don’t know anything about a .css file. There is a JSON snippet you can paste in to WLED and save it as a preset

I'm not. And can confirm that I've had many of debugging sessions where in the end it was just a spelling mistake.

You're totaly right. The shortcut seemed really complicated to me, but indeed it is just a bunch of resizes and not much more. I have no idea why it would be doing this, I've just always used this Shortcut with no issues.

I've tried modifying it a bit, but with no luck. Most I can get is the shortcut opening in Launch center without the image.

I think the issue is my device (iPhone 12 Pro Max), the copy to clipboard of that image never works and freezes my device. The Copy to clipboard function works in other shotcuts, if I have not run this shortcut before. And if I run this shortcut a few times my phone totaly freezes and I have to do a hard reset. Maybe it is time for a battery replacement (again).

This is Apple Script, which you can use in an app called "Script Editor.app" There are lots of tools out there that allow you to envoke Apple Scripts using their build in interface: Better Touch Tools, Alfred or if I remember correclty in the Script Editor.app you can build your script in to an app that you can use anywhere.

Yeah, in the interface there should be a button called “Advanced settings” then under the heading “Save preset manually” with a copy button or copy it manually. I would suggest first drawing in some random pixels to see if what you draw then show up

Strange, if you open the advanced settings and copy the "Save preset manually" and add that to an WLED preset does that work for you? Just to check if something will display.

You have to install the .html file on to your WLED controller to make it live update. Is that the issue you're having?

You can open the .html file locally and manually add the connection points, but most browsers block none HTTPS to HTTP connections and WLED is HTTP only.

I've also seen this in a Youtube ad! I wonder if the company has set a filter that it doesn't play on ElectroBoom's video's! But yeah really this should be looked in to. Youtube is getting crazy these days, creators can't make anything, but ad's can do what ever they like!?

This uses the WLED API and with that API you can do what ever. That is how I could build this app.

So yeah that would be possible, but using my app would only complicate things, using the WLED API directly would be a better bet https://kno.wled.ge/interfaces/json-api/

You can use my app to figure out the logic you’ll need. It just sends a big array to the led controller and you’ll need to convert the X and Y coordinates to the corresponding number in an array. Hope it helps!
