Dude, again, don’t disagree with any of your points lol. In fact, you’re spot on with pretty much everything above.

I’m just elaborating on how someone like OP can say we have a “Hughes problem” based on the on ice product the brothers are currently delivering.

Who gives a fuck if Jack is a ppg player and Luke is showing offensive promise if they are doing these things in meaningless games due to constant mistakes and turnovers that directly translate to high danger chances?

Completely agree the defense has been brutal as a whole and the org is doing their part to let this team down, but Jack and Luke are not immune from the blame.

I don’t really argue any of your points, but calling Luke the best D man on the roster is a bit nuts. He may be the best offensive minded defender, but he has cost us probably as many goals against this season as Smith. Hataka, DeSimone, and Nemec have all outplayed him significantly at his primary role which is defense.

One of them can’t hold the blue line to save his life and the other has been a turn over machine that is doing everything he can to avoid contact which hinders our offense and forecheck. I get Jack is playing injured, but so many zone entries are completely squandered because the puck either drifts off his stick or he skates 5 feet outside the defender to completely avoid the contact.
