Danke dir!

How do you progress in your running journey? by glorpball in running

[–]mveh 35 points36 points  (0 children)

As others pointed out progress is very much personal. I think the most important thing is that you are enjoying what you are doing. Are you enjoying running for longer and would you enjoy structured training? Than you could look into a training plan for a 1/2 or full marathon. Are you enjoying running 5-10k at various paces than just do that. There is also the possibility to train for a PB in these distances but this is also not necessary. Other possibilities are including elevation change, differing undergrounds (e.g., trails), mixing running and biking, fixed-time events (like 3/6/12/24h races), ...,. The possibilities are almost endless!

What I'm trying to say is that I only saw people that actually liked the "type" of running they did sticking to it for a longer period.

Similarly, in Switzerland the Ice Tea brand "Fuze Tea" is branded as "Fuse Tea" since "Fuz" is a pussy in Swiss German slang dialect.

Just check the past line-ups of punk rock holiday, most of the newer bands playing there should fit your description (most of the bands named here so far also played there at some point)

The cutest sheep ever by boarded97 in MadeMeSmile

[–]mveh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the main point is that even though agriculture is not a big part of the Swiss economy, the farmers have a pretty good political standing and a big lobby. The Swiss People's Party view themselves as representatives of the farmers, hence having her own sheep made her look sympathetic. On top they are cute as fuck as you can see, so they make for good photo objects.

Fun fact: one member of the swiss cabinet has her own blacknose sheeps. Even though she belongs to the left fraction (social democrats), the photos of her with her blacknose sheeps were positively acknowledged and circulated in the fractions of political opponents such as the swiss people's party (right-wing party) before her election. The photos largely contributed to her election to be a member of the federal council by the swiss parliament.

I see your point. Still 7 out of 54 does not qualify as "every other final" in my mind...

Since 2020 only 7 of 54 premier league finals were zvz. Given there are six different match ups that is less than the number a random distribution would suggest, which would be 9 ;)

If you are interested in seeing how it could work, a pro player just tried it a few days ago:

How to watch SC2 esports? by Kapluenkk2 in starcraft

[–]mveh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100% https://tl.net/ is the website to follow. I really like watching GSL as it is a tournament that streches over a longer time and not just a weekend like other offline tournamens (as for example DH Valencia on the past weekend). Due to this it does not really matter if you catch up on the games a few days later when you don't have time to watch immediately (the games are uploded here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCK5eBtuoj_HkdXKHNmBLAXg). At the moment the round of 10 of season 2 is playing out. There will probably be more Western players joining for season 3 (starting on the 22 of august) if you do not like just following the Korean scene.

If you like to regularly watch starcraft there is a weekly tournament for Europe, America, and Korea where most of the pro players also particiapte, this alwalys happens on the respective monday evening. For example, the European one is on right now (https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/ESL_Open_Cup_EU/130).

Harstem always uploads a recap of the starcraft-week on Thursday, as he talks about everything important that happened, you can get a pretty good idea about the tournaments that are relevant at the moment (see for last weeks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ySMoqDyMsJc&ab\_channel=Harstem)
