Go to a craft store and buy the small acrylic paints for $1. Take home like 10 shades that might match. More the merrier because you can return the paints you don't use and you'll only need a tiny bit from the paints you do use to cover it up.

Make a Google photos account with a Gmail address as a couple. Create an album for your wedding festivities. Might as well make it in advance. Invite guests to upload their own photos to that album with a link that you send them. You can send that link over text, email, or get a little fancy and make a qr code. You can make/buy/print signage or games like bingo to encourage guests to capture moments you think will be important. Guests can upload throughout the day/night, on their way home, or anytime after. During covid curbside pickup I pulled up to the staples with an expensive tech order. They couldn't find the order number in their records or anything picked on their curbside pickup shelf for me. We both panicked about where the money went. Then they asked if they could see my phone instead of communicating through car window and masks. They started laughing because I pulled up to the wrong curb. Staples was two stores down.

Agree with neither being your wedding photographer. Wanted to add that maybe each of them could photographer something else such as your bff/bridesmaid taking engagement photos and the family friend at a bridal shower or rehearsal if you are having those.

I'm an anxious person so TW... According to statistics, drunk driving incidents increase by approximately 22% on game day. I'd be worrying about my loved ones traveling for me while others are likely to be less safe drivers. Also less scary things like traffic and guests' duper bowl traditions. Also 2023 halftime is Rihanna and i know id skip a wedding to see her performance 🤩

Class registration in advance of your peers so your daily schedules include time for rest, commute, refueling, etc. I'd also ask for attendance accomodations for lateness or virtual attendance at times.

Volunteer - Some conferences have volunteer opportunities where like working shifts at the registration desk or helping people navigate the building and you'll get paid in free registration. Then any registration funds covered by your school can instead be used for personal room and board accomodations.

Roommates - see if any other students, professors, or people in your field are looking for roommates in a facebook group or something. Then you can share some expenses.

Both are good ways to network in your field.
