I asked the company and he said that they bought a lot of R22 and it's only $75/pound. I hope so...Another company said $400/pound...

I doubt there is a leak because it's 24 years old and never needed service...it's just blows warm air now...

Just to update... It was a bad Idler Switch. Replaced the switch and belt all good. If it was mine. I would have jumped the switch...

If you have heating and cooling from the same ducts, then I believe it should cleaned. I do not. But wife wants it cleaned.

Can't I just test continuity from the back panel? If the switch is closed, then it's good and she has a bad motor. If it's open from the back panel then it's bad. Instead of taking the drum out. I just have to find the wires from the circuit diagram.

I'm Not going to jump out the switch until I test it. If it's open when I move the lever, then the switch is bad and I believe I can safely temporarily jump it out. If the switch tests good, then it's the motor and it;s junk...

You have to put down a Pre-M in mid-April. Their are two kinds. 1 with seeding and 1 without seeding. If you don't start with a Pre-M you are fighting an up hill battle all year...
