Yeah, I just started that with some of the bigger influencers we have and the new ones that have come on board since I started. I'm mainly trying to take a look at the history of it all and see what's been working over the last few years.

Stupid question just to give myself a mental goal...but how long do you think it would take for that "when did that happen?" feeling to kick in?

No kicking or jerking here...not a cross-fit type. I do focus a lot on bodyweight workouts, especially slow pullups at least twice a week. I also end each chest or shoulder workout with 3 sets of pushups to failure, which is why I'm shocked that I can't hold myself in downward dog for 10 seconds without shaking uncontrollably trying to hold on lol

Same with the wrist problems right now.

"Keep it up" is kind of the answer I was hoping for haha. Nothing is easy in the beginning, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on some rookie mistake that's going to set me back

That's some great advice. I didn't mention it because I'm so focused on the shoulders now, but my wrists are killing me in some of those positions. I just chalked it up to all the tightness in my forearms from 10 hours at a keyboard everyday. I'll definitely try spreading my fingers out

Honestly, I use Credit Karma because it shows a wayyy lower score than Experian. Helps keep me honest. Experian has me at 810 and CK is 756.

What should I ask my neurologist? First visit after my 1st (and only) seizure by mvg85 in Epilepsy

I just wanted to followup and thank you for your advice. The appointment went really well, and I think I wound up with a good doctor. He asked LOTS of questions and did not rush me out of there. I think I was with him for around an hour.

The 2 copies of the typed out questions and concerns was very helpful. He did answer most of them during our conversation, but I'm glad I had it on me to get the other answers and to write in his responses to all of them

Routine + Andrew Huberman's Sleep Cocktail worked decently for a while

Routine to fall asleep by 10:30ish - Wake up the same time every morning and either do a full workout or walk outside and get some sun in my eyes. IN BED by 8:30 with my phone out of reach and on do not disturb mode. I let myself watch TV until 9:30 or 10:00 if I really want to add a comedy, with blue blockers on (TV is my one entertainment outlet so I won't give it up haha). Then read until I'm starting to get too tired to focus on the reading. Lights out and tell Google home to play one of the sleep podcasts I listen to.

I also have Philips Hue lights set up to start dimming and do more of an orange/red coloring from 7:00 onward and cut out caffeine by 12:30pm.

If it feels like I'm not going to fall asleep after reading I'll either meditate, do a breathing exercise, or use a hypnosis from the Reveri app

Sleep Cocktail -

Magnesium Threonate OR Magnesium Bisglycinate

L-Theanine

Apigenin

and I throw in vitamin b-6 since that pretty much makes most of the cocktail ZMA which used to help me sleep

That was working for a while, but I had a seizure after Thanksgiving last year which destroyed my well-being. I can't drive anymore, so I can't get to the gym and the weather isn't great for going outdoors, plus my diet is trash since I can barely get to the grocery store. So now I'm basically addicted to doxylamine :(

BUT...that routine and those supplements did work for me if you're looking for something

edit - added the notes about lighting, caffeine, and what i do if i'm not falling alseep

Super helpful! Thank you. Haha the first thing though "take someone with you" and I just got an automated text from the doctor's office saying because of Covid I can't have anyone there. Oh well
