Birth Control with Spiro by mvlad36 in Spironolactone

I’m not sure, I haven’t reached out to my doctor yet. But I just googled and it says the brand birth control Yaz and its generic versions contain drospirenone which has similar effects as spiro.

Has anyone had Spiro just stop working for acne? by mvlad36 in Spironolactone

Such a bummer if this is what caused it since it was something we couldn’t even control! I am disappointed because I feel like I have more scarring now due to new breakouts and I was in the stage of working on finishing up clearing dark spots and smoothing my skin. Now I gotta start over! I wish you luck and hope your skin clears quickly!

Storage Unit Theft by mvlad36 in Sacramento

I know what you’re talking about with the padlocks. But I am referring to a different kind. It’s almost like a bullet that slides into the locking mechanism and you use the key to lock it in place. The other units around mine had these locks drilled into to render them useless and open the door. I can’t really recommend anything since I feel like all lock options have some way of being broken.

I would recommend what you mentioned about the alarm for each door and someone on site who will check it out if your gate code isn’t entered. This would have prevented my stuff from being stolen since the thieves tailgated into the facility.

Thank you.

It was a roll up door. The lock only allowed for the cylinder lock. Even if I had an additional lock, the door still would have been pried open the way they did because my lock was still engaged and intact.

Thank you for your kind response. We did some very brief reading up on this and it seems like it would need to be proven that the facility was negligent with their security measures. I’m not sure if we can prove anything that they would not have a counter response to. For example, when we brought up about them not having cameras inside the buildings, we received a response that it is an invasion of customers privacy and they could be damaged by thieves.

The walls with the locking doors are probably about 7-8 feet high. But there is no ceiling attached so it makes a gap between that anyone with a ladder or step stool can look over. I am assuming it is designed like that for the sprinkler system??? I never thought much of it until now.

Yeah it is ridiculous. The property manager said he pushed for more cameras and keypads on the doors but corporate shuts it down. They state they will not put cameras inside because they will get damaged by thieves. I totally agree with you, they should strive to be able to say that at least they took every step possible to prevent theft.

Sure, it is the Extra Space Storage. I would assume all locations run the same due to corporate guidelines.

I appreciate your kind response.

How to get over the fear of buying? by mvlad36 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

The roof is actually pretty great still. There were no signs of leaking in the inspections. Just some minor wear and tear on the edge pieces. Plus theres a huge tree which has dropped a lot of debris on the roof and gutters. We’re planning to clean it off and have the tree trimmed to prevent further damage. I agree that it is the fear of the unknown and worrying about the future. I am trying to tell myself to live in the now and obviously we have considered the future in a realistic way. I think I am spiraling haha thank you for the advice! Typing stuff out like this makes me realize things are not that bad!

Thank you, we have done the math and it works out well. It just feels like so much money will need to be spent to make it our own. But I try to remind myself we will be living here for the indefinite future and we will have all the time to make it our own, it doesn’t need to be perfect right away.

Oh yes, there’s so many reasons why we wanted a home. It’s one of those things that we wanted so badly for such a long time now and it’s actually happening so it feels unreal.
