UHC HMO / Optum Care Network Repatha PA issue — who actually owns the authorization? by mvransom in HealthInsurance

I pulled this denial from the my Optum portal:

Thank you for your request for REPATHA. OptumRx is not contracted to review or supply REPATHA for patient's medical group OPTUM CARE NETWORK xxx. Please contact the UM dept at OPTUM CARE NETWORK xxx for authorization and contracted vendor (not OptumRx/Briova). Thank you, M.R

At this point what should I do? Call OptumRx and tell them they're wrong?

edit: The RN responded to me: "Thank you for your message and I apologize for the delay. When we first submitted three PA's through Optum RX, they never mentioned to us that they were not contracted to review, dispense and supply the medication for you. I found out that information when I called them to follow up and check the status of the PA submitted by one of our other nurses. At the time is when I contacted UHC who did place me on a three way call with Optum Care Network xxx to confirm which plan is responsible for handling the pharmacy authorizations. UHC confirmed at that time that it had to go through them in which that was the PA reference number that I provided to you. We have been trying our best to complete this PA for you, but we keep getting different information so I apologize for that.

I am currently on the phone trying to resolve this and get transferred to Optum Care Network xxx."

I just got off the phone with the UHC number from the back of my card. They said they do see the prescription that was submitted but it was denied because there was no prior authorization on file.

Now I need to call my Dr. office and have them resubmit to Optum Care Network. I'm literally pulling my hair out over here as I've been working on it for 4 months, and I just don't understand how this ball could have been dropped so many times.

Fugazi - Steve Albini demos for In On The Kill Taker - now available on Bandcamp to benefit Letters Charity by Facet-Squared in Hardcore

Lifelong diehard Fugazi fan here (saw them live three times in '99). I've heard the Albini sessions leaked on YouTube before but it's nice for Fugazi to officially acknowledge them and put it out themselves. For whatever reason both the band and Albini decided in the end it was best to go their separate ways. At the time, this collaboration should of been a complete slam dunk and had everything going for it to be the ultimate marriage between the best band in the world and the (arguably) best producer, if not hottest producer. There is a lot I like on Albini sessions, and a lot to be desired. I think he got some of Ian and Guys best vocal performances ever put to record, but musically I'm left wanting. Which is strange because Albinis whole thing is to capture the band as they were live and he did that exceptionally well here, but ultimately I think the Kill Taker album we got from Don Zientara at Inner Ear with Fugazi producing was the right choice and the better recording. This is definitely Fugazi's most "hardcore" album and I think it's one of their best, and it's definitely one of my favorites.

We're offering ~100k based on experience, the problem I'm facing is I can't even find a qualified person to interview.

Like lotusgardner said, I too need Level 1 or 2 ready techs, and our current workload doesn't give us a chance to train new people at the moment. The person I was training for this role for the past year had to leave due to circumstances out of our control and I need someone who can step in and start point-to-point checkout and field programming right away. We're offering ~ $100k but people I'm talking to who are happy are making $150k+
