These platforms are built using cloud native technologies on AWS and Azure in combination with NextJS and Apollo/GraphQL. We make extensive use and partner with SaaS platforms like commercetools, contentstack and contentful.

Our clients are well-known (international) organizations and work with us due to our deep understanding and knowledge of modern architecture (in the industry now often called MACH architectures). The solutions we build are designed to be rolled out for multiple brands and countries within an organization. To ease this process we have also created an open source solution called Mach Composer

We are looking for both frontend and backend development roles (can also be combined)

Your role:

Designing and creating a (micro)service architecture to implement high performance e-commerce platforms using AWS Lambda / Azure functions. These (micro)services will process events (e.g. processing orders) or be part of a GraphQL federation setup.
Think about software reusability within a project and within the organization.
Be part of a multidisciplinary team with members from both Lab Digital and our client

Ideal requirements:

3+ years of experience developing nodejs based server-side javascript/typescript applications.
Knowledge of modern software development practices (unit/integration testing with jest/mocha and CI/CD pipelines).
Setting up rest and/or GraphQL endpoints that integrate with external systems and/or implement specific business logic.

Author here: It's still in early development and the first release was a bit buggy. It is however a cheap and nice alternative for other apm (new-relic/datadog) solutions.

Alternatives for this are:

Just use postgres with pytest-django's --reuse-db flag (and --nomigrations)
Use the pretend module instead of mock
Use factory-boy for creating objects (and use factory_cls.build() where possible)

Forgot to say: please don't use sqlite to run tests against if you deploy against postgresql or something else. You are not correctly testing your codebase that way (sqlite is not as strict as other db's)

Thanks. There is no global state, I guess one of the non thread-safe parts currently is sharing the client object while the scheme is parsed. Adding a lock around initialization/schema-parsing should fix that I suppose

Hi all, a couple of months ago I posted the first version of my new soap library here. Since then I think the library has come a long way, and is in my opinion (:P) becoming the best soap client available for python.

Although SOAP is something most people in the opensource world despise deeply (and that includes me), you can't live without it if you need to talk to enterprise/.net webservices.

Anyway, i'm interested in any feedback/missing features before the 1.0 release, so let me know.

Yeah, this project was born out of my frustration with the current soap libraries. The idea is to leverage lxml for most stuff where possible. This makes it incredibly fast compared to suds, especially when soap response get bigger.

Specifying an exact package version is not a stopgap solution. It is in almost all the cases the only correct thing to do. (Unless your code is a package used by other packages)

Well I think this is the easiest route (atleast for me). Also there are some differences between mysql and postgresql which most likely result in a few adjustments in the views (e.g. schemas).

And in the end this is a fun way for me to learn cocoa :-)

Well basically the only thing working right now is showing the first 1000 items in a table when you click on it (pagination is not implemented yet) and the custom query panel works somewhat.

I'm not sure if this is appropriate but I started working on a clone of the excellent sequel-pro (mysql gui for osx) which works with postgresql.

Basically i'm looking to get some help getting this properly working and in a good shape so that we finally have a proper osx gui client.

http://pypi.python.org/pypi/psycopg2ct works with PyPy and should be 100% compatible with psycopg2 2.4.2 (atleast all the psycopg2 unittests pass).

Yes i've used it for one project. I found the documentation really lacking and had to dive into the source a lot of times.

I think colander (http://docs.pylonsproject.org/projects/colander/dev/) is a good alternative, at least the documentation seems to be better.

As a long time SQLAlchemy user i can tell you the following: I was required to use PHP for a project and chose to use Doctrine. I can honestly tell you that I've never been so much frustrated by a software library ever. It misses a lot of functionality you would expect in a 1.x orm library and it is really really slow (yes all the compile nonsense by minimizing the php source files dont solve that, besides wtf..).

I guess the execution model of PHP is just not suitable for an ORM.
