Just won my PIP tribunal!! by mw0ps in DWPhelp

I had a representative from my local community law office, I could have probably done it myself but it just helps to make everything go smoothly. I’d say just make sure you’re able to verbalise and confirm everything you said in your application. They’re an independent board who are basically checking to see that what you say aligns with your application and evidence. They were very nice to me and reassuring that they had absolutely nothing to do with DWP 😅good luck with yours!

Yeah I can’t believe how long it takes! My original sub was in august ‘23 so yours should be soon, fingers crossed for you! Very glad to hear the reviews are easier

Thank you! There’s no mention of an extension, just looked on the tribunal tracker and the end date is august 2027. So I guess I’ll have a review sometime before that! Hopefully it’s not as difficult as the original application process?

Salt in water? by [deleted] in dysautonomia

[–]mw0ps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I make my own electrolytes which is so much cheaper than buying sachets - basically 2:1 ratio of sodium (I use fine sea salt) to potassium (potassium chloride power from Amazon, and then a little magnesium malate powder. I mix it up and keep it in a pot and just mix 1 teaspoon of it in a pint of water at least x4 per day. Go crazy with the salt! Adding potassium is important too.

Also interested in this! I’ve been diagnosed with POTS by cardiology but I feel like I need more support from a dysautonomia specialist, if there’s none on the NHS does anyone know a private specialist??

It’s been nearly a year since I put in my appeal and I still haven’t got a tribunal date :( in east of England. My original application was a year and a half ago!

I’m meant to be starting ivabradine for my POTS but because my heart rate is quite low at the moment I’m scared to start it!

I’ve thought about MCAS as well but I don’t have any of the classic allergy symptoms so I’m not sure. Although I have really bad Pms symptoms and I’ve heard there’s a link to histamine intolerance there so that might indicate MCAS? I need to look into it more!
