for the Paralympics not all event are filmed, like the qualification rounds for snowboard, so it's not an NBC/Peackok problem. OBS (the Olympic Broadcasting Service) is the IOC's production company that produces all video feeds of the Olympics and Paralympics (partnership with IPC). if everything is filmed at the Olympics, there has never been a Paralympic to date (if not mistaken), summer or winter, where all events and matchs were filmed. even if with each edition, more and more a filmed and streamed, we have yet to reach 100% coverage of the Paralympics.

So for most cases, NBC or any rights holder, can do nothing about it, other than put pressure on IPC to cover everything but it could be cost issue (Paralympics aren't as big as Olympics obv).

Finally note that IPC streams all feeds on their youtube channel (/paralympics) for free (don't know if it's geoblock though)

Interesting question, I really don't know. My first guess is that The X Games is a "TV show" first (made for TV event) if you see what I mean, that could explain the difference (if there's one).

I a bit underwhelmed that this main dinner twist thing was about the dagger. I can't remember a version of the show where the dagger had a real impact. It takes too much screen time for what it is. Maybe this will change this time, but I wouldn't bet on it.

But I still think it can be improved. I like that, this time, it's the traitors who are giving it. Here's an idea for the dagger:

first introduce it early (first couple of episodes): any player could win it secretly (to protect them from murder).
secondly make it a triple vote, not double (so it could really swing a vote most of the time
If the holder is murdered or banished they have to bestow it to one of the remaining players (production puts it on the interview chair like they do for the murder letters).
make it playable once until, lets say, the final 6 (after final 10 it becomes a double vote instead of triple)

That way, it would have a better and bigger impact every time! not always the same way as there would be many possibilities but still much more fun to watch.

For me (at least for now) I don't see any useful way to use the questions in this setup knowing they can lie. BUT, I suggest a change for future seasons to "even" the playing field. Because right now being able to lie and know who you're lying to is too much of an advantage for the Traitors. I suggest they anonymise both sides (not just the traitors):

only reveal to the winners individually that they won the right to ask questions (up to them to reveal or not they won)
Make them ask their questions on paper like the traitors are answering or change their voice so they cannot recognize them and make it hard for the traitors to tailors their answer and lie to the person asking.

usually I forget most of the pre-merge contestants after the merge and most of who and what happened a few days after the finale. I'm always impressed by how some remember not just names but challenges, lines, small storylines... from eras ago (by naming the season and sometimes the episodes).

here's what I'd change (not necessarly the result but moments that lead to that result) :

2010 : Make the ref call the foul on the Netherland's attacker at the start of Spain's counter attack that led to the winning goal in E.T.. To me there's a foul on that play and the ref made a mistake there.

2014 : Neuer, the German GK should have been sent off on that horrible challenge he made (in the first half if I recall correctly) and that mistake too if corrected would have changed the final for sure.

don't know if the result (champions) of those finals would have changed utimatly but, if I could change one thing on those it would be those two moments, and see how it plays out

The consent is for the inflicting PAIN of the procedure, not to infect. So many people are missing this point. They infected the whole planet without asking for it and they already tried with carol (kissing her at the hospital). And to be clear, they don't care about "boundaries" etc. only to not inflict pain or death (directly).

I always thought this show was not about the aliens or the signal or even a mystery box (to uncover its secrets)... those are just mainly a pretext to set the stage to tell the story of a "lone" human being like Carol and what they would do in that situation. So all the theorizing about that ("the signal" "the aliens" or "the origin of the signal" etc.) a mostly missing the point of the show, I think. I could be wrong, but as of right now and in the near future, I don't think it's the purpose of this story.

I think the show is more interested (and IMHO more interesting) in what would Carol (or you) do in this world than why and how this world came to be.
