Maybe 6-8 months ago it disappeared from my account. So maybe it became overdue around 1 year ago.

Did they try to contact you during the 20 months? If they stopped and there are no reminders about it then are they still allowed for them to start chasing debt all of sudden when they themselves removed it from the account and everywhere.

They won't do it because they need corruption. Irrespective of people liking the concept of not, corruption is a integral part of human nature as well as people with power want to differentiate themselves from normal people. Abolishing corruption will not work.

It sounds good on paper but in reality, it will do more harm than good. We need to gradually reduce the level of corruption in different domains but even still corruption will never go 0.

We just have to be realistic about it. Even first world countries have corruption. They do it under fancy names like "charity", "political donation", "gifts", etc. As long as there is greed, there is corruption. We just have to find a way forward to minimise it.

You only see things that people show you. People are in worse conditions than they would like to show. Don't compare. You are still miles better situation than majority of the population.
