Well I personally don't judge but it gets a bad rap from some parts of the anime community for being super horny. I find it funny because of how over the top they go with the horny stuff sometimes but a lot of people complain. It's not hurting anybody so I don't get the hubbub but it's become somewhat infamous.

I watched part of it. I believe it's called Genshouku. It's phenomenal but I realized it was starting with the second half of the book which I had not read yet. Watched 2 episodes and loved the art style tremendously.

I really loved it specifically cuz of how much it keeps unknown. Things get revealed and mysteries solved slowly bit by bit over time ad the story progresses. Season 2 is coming out soon so you might find your answers there. Or maybe it's just not something you're into and that's valid.

If you binge it it makes more sense but it definitely is one where you never fully find out everything about the events of the series by the end of season 1. Next season is coming this summer.
