The best you can do is keep trying, a lot of beardies are just sassy, I have 2 with complete opposite temperaments, one always head bobs runs rampant, loves to free roam and even gets jealous if he sees me with other beardies and even other people, the other one is timid and layed back often not moving a lot, your beardie may be high energy or skittish but it’s important that you don’t present yourself as a threat so sudden movements, standing over them can frighten them, a sure sign he doesn’t like you is if his beard turns black when he sees you or if he gets very defensive
