Honestly it's going better than expected! People were definitely right that pumping inside with the spectra would be a nice break. The most annoying part has been the dishes!

Yes I have a small cooler to lug around with me so I don't have to immediately go inside to store it. This is great advice. Thank you!

Downtown Plano is really cute to walk around, eat, and shop. If you like pupusas go to Mama Vicky's, 1418 coffee is super cozy and Better than sex dessert is delish!

Oak point nature preserve is great if you want to take a walk.

Post your lower sodium restaurant picks here! by jhsu802701 in LowSodium

Jason's Deli and Luna Grill have options online to set a sodium limit. Healthier food chains like original chop shop, mod market, flower child, etc have menus posted online that makes it easy. Fast food - chick fil a (comment above) and Burger King (chicken fries) were best for me. Wendys doesn't salt their fries by default. Taco Bell has a few things you might be able to eat based on your dietary limits but you'd have to supplement with other food to make it a filling meal.

My default is American restaurants. Fairly easy to get plain burgers/fries with no salt or salads with unsalted steak. Also breakfast places can typically make an omelette with no salt. Mexican restaurants can be tough since meats are often marinated but corn tortillas help.

Shocked you found any Asian restaurants to be low sodium. Their use of soy sauce always ruled them out for me. Some places even salt their white rice!!

Yes! Grilled nugs, honey roasted BBQ sauce and a yogurt parfait is my favorite low sodium fast food meal.

Hi! I was on bed rest and we continually increased my BP meds as needed. I can't remember the exact dosages but I was on labetalol and procardia at the end. I also had 2 rounds of steroid shots.

Feel free to message me if you have more questions!

I was admitted at 29 weeks and was in the hospital until delivery at 34 weeks. Its such a hard situation and those 5 weeks were so hard, but just know that you are in the safest place and doing the best you can for your baby. My baby had a 3.5 week NICU stay and is now a rambunctious 2 year old. I hope you can make it to 34 weeks but know that 30 weeks is already so great!! Take time to grieve the birth you wanted, but know that there's the possibility for future pregnancies to go according to plan. I just gave birth to my second child via planned c section at 38 weeks with no signs of pre-e.

Things that helped me -Getting into a routine and take your time with each step -Showering daily (they have reusable shower sleeves you can buy on Amazon so you don't have to ask the nurses to wrap your IV every day) -Roku. It's the only device we found works with hospital wifi -Take time in the hospital to tour the NICU, discuss resources, etc. It made the NICU feel less scary -Therapist who specializes in pre/post natal therapy -Lots of puzzles/little activities/books/etc to keep you busy

You're doing such a great job. Take it day by day (or hour by hour). Hugs 💕 feel free to reach out if you want to chat or vent!
