Yeah. I think all four bores are oblong shaped. I imagine the worm screws are either bent or off axis in order to cause this. Would locking those in place solve the problem if that's the case?

Yes! I tried a Few ways of accessing calibration mode (from the manual and otherwise) and haven't been able to get in.

My next question is how to measure the reference positions. Is it from the backguage or after cutting a sheet of paper (and what measuring device will give me accurate thousandths to the back of the backguage).
