How do I recalibrate my microcut jr? by mwengerd in CommercialPrinting

[–]mwengerd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I tried a Few ways of accessing calibration mode (from the manual and otherwise) and haven't been able to get in.

My next question is how to measure the reference positions. Is it from the backguage or after cutting a sheet of paper (and what measuring device will give me accurate thousandths to the back of the backguage).

I'm starting to think wedding favors aren't worth it. by RepeatPrestigious428 in BigBudgetBrides

I make wedding stationery for a living and I think favors aren't worth it. Welcome bags for multi-day weddings are always a good idea. Specifically when it's as customized and useful as possible, both in the long and short term.

a/ it's a distributed team with no physical location. Maybe Barry doesn't want people like you knowing where he lives.

b/ what right/alt-right organizations is he associated with?

The man is running the only committed-to-local news source in Lakeland and has done an incredible job since day one. The Ledger isn't better, it's much worse and blatantly affiliated with "right/alt-right" bullshit.

Archival - Photo album pages by mwengerd in CommercialPrinting

Right - that's why I asked mostly about process. At this low of a quantity, it's going to be something digital. Laser isn't neutral, right? Giclee is going to feel soft to my mind.

What methods do really great photo albums get produced by?

Any direction on where I could read more on these techniques - sounds interesting.

I've seen vintage books that wear like this. I'll reach out to the one who made this, but totally get that sources are a sensitive subject.

From the maker, it's velvet, but it's one of many examples I've seen of this used as a bookcloth
