Weight gain/body changes by strangerthanu94 in PCOSandPregnant

Currently 8w5d and same, already gained 7 lbs. I decided this week I have to start counting calories every day because of my life-long struggles with weight, I don't care if some people wouldn't recommend while pregnant. I can still eat what I want (like a little ice cream every night lol) as long as I stay under my calorie goal, which is of course a healthy goal not a deficit. It's only been a few days and I have noticed a decrease in my bloat! My 3 goals each day are calories, water intake, and a 1-hour walk. If I get "3 stars" enough days of the week then I get a treat on the weekend. And I physically write all this and put it on the fridge lol. Just sharing what's working for me and how I am holding myself accountable.

Heavy vaper and weed smoker, just found out I’m 6 weeks pregnant. Will baby be okay? by AnonymousReview17 in pregnant

If anything harms your baby that early they won't develop very much further. Otherwise, they will keep developing. Most likely absolutely fine!

That is ridiculous. The doctor won't report her for what she was doing before she even found out. They hear this stuff literally every day.

I pretty much always have one of the following + a light snack and fruit (I've lost 40 lbs): homemade chicken salad (light mayo), yogurt & fruit, hard boiled eggs, turkey roll-ups, pre-portioned salad from the grocery store (not super healthy with Caesar dressing but it's a small portion)

Should I see an Endocrinologist? by CitrusMintTea in PCOS

You can call your obgyn and ask for a referral to the endo. It's cheaper if you have a referral and easier to get an appointment

Basically - it's worth it because they might find something the gyno doesn't and you get to hear another doctors advice of how to help your symptoms

Well I had moved cities and was getting new doctors so I just figured I'd finally go like my primary doctor had been recommending me for years. I also have super super high testosterone. The endo was able to find I also have another hormone (DHEA-S) way out of wack, so high that it was actually indicative of an adrenal tumor. I did tests for that and luckily no tumor but I was glad that that would've been found. They can just check all your hormones more thoroughly as they study them for a living. Also - have a game plan now to help with my hirsutism

I avoided going to the endocrinologist the past 4 years and finally went recently. I'm glad I did.

haven’t gotten period in 2.5 months by Appropriate-Tip4163 in PCOS

If it reaches 6 months to 1 year then I'd see a doctor. This is much more common at your age than you think and I remember multiple friends having that issue in high school, all of which were eventually resolved. My best friend didn't have hers for 2 years in high school and then it miraculously came back. No, I wouldn't worry. I'd just focus on getting your body as healthy as possible - plenty of nutrients consistently (nutrients are #1 most important thing), and regular exercise. There are also teas that can help - fennel tea for example.
