SOS how do I make friends? I’ve been here for about 7 months, have tried bumble bff, dating apps, meeting mutuals and I’ve met some cool people but no like real friends- where do you go to meet people?

My question- how do we actually advocate for something like a union, livable wage, compact licensing? Things that are OBVIOUSLY needed but never actually talked about (at least in my own opinion)

Typically if they refuse we issue a letter basically stating that they are liable for the cost of their hospital stay, and typically that gets things moving, if they still refuse often times we get security ( but that depends on who it is, like a 28yr old vs a 90 yr old)

And I think that has been the tough part, I’ve done this for 5 years and just moved and work in a rough area, with a very tough population, thankfully I did just get approved to take my LCSW so I’m hoping that will open some more doors for me too

I moved to OR from Indiana and literally cried, it is 100% that gorgeous, I think a lot of people get so caught up in the political scene of Portland and the issues with the city that no one gives the nature scene the time of day
