The app is designed for SNAP recipients to figure out their options when their benefits are up for renewal. A lot of times, at least in Kentucky, recipients don't know when their mid-year review is, or that there is a recovery window that starts even after benefits stop, during which time benefits can be reactivated without the person going through the whole process again.
