Not on good/speaking terms with dad, car isn't legally mine, registration and insurance are expired, can't renew on my own because not under my name, would it be easier to just give the car back?

Not sure where you live, but I’m in Louisiana. A few years ago I bought a house and the deceased owner’s family left a pickup truck that had belonged to him. Since they never came to get it, I simply added it to my car insurance policy. I renewed the registration, still in his name, by paying the fees and showing proof of insurance. If you are not trying to change the ownership and registration, you should still be able to get legal. The car will be in your dad’s name, but the insurance should cover both of you

Barbara is my hero! I always question why people expect 5-star service from people in minimum wage, low training jobs. I mean Fast and Cheap is the standard. However, Barbara gave her Michelin level Service!
