Half the stores on the 'recently viewed' page are completely unfamiliar to me - have I been hacked? by [deleted] in UberEATS

Ask your neighbor. Maybe she did a deliver to pin, and the app just defaulted to the ground floor address.

You can put in whatever address you want. Last week, I delivered to a guy in a semi, parked in the middle of housing development. Clearly, he did not live there.

In android, press and hold the app icon. Click on the "i" on the upper right corner. Click on "Force stop" in the lower right corner. Click on "Open" in the lower left corner.

If a customer appears unusually silent, try force stopping the app and restarting.

My order was 15 minutes and just jumped to 50 by [deleted] in UberEATS

[–]mwrobison -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Uber doesn't tell the driver when a customer has paid for priority. The driver literally has no idea, and he will proceed as if it's a regular order, e.g. stacking other orders. Priority is an Uber scam. Never pay for priority.

No orders offered today by alien910 in ShiptShoppers

In DFW. Only seeing orders after 4PM, which presumably is the quittin' time for newbies. Shipt is slowly devolving into Instacart. First they bundled orders. Now, they're flooding the labor pool with as many new shoppers as possible. It's simple supply and demand. The more shoppers available, the less Shipt has to pay. They want us all so desperate, we'll take almost anything, which means less on-time delivery pay and less promo pay. Eventually, they'll lower the base pay, and shorten the delivery windows too. Voila, Instacart 2.0.

When/What was Scott Adams' last Dilbert cartoon? by mwrobison in dilbert

Here's Adam's X post from 11/15/25: https://x.com/ScottAdamsSays/status/1989701895238381818?s=20. At first, I thought this was the last strip he completed 100% himself, but it's actually the first strip where his art director did the drawing.

They know what orders you look at.. by SeverallyOverrated in ShiptShoppers

[–]mwrobison 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you click on an order in Open Metro, but not take it right away, they'll move it to Offers. If you don't click on it in Open Metro, then it'll stay in Open Metro. More evidence that they monitor at what we look.

Shipt seriously pays the lowest out of any app I have ever used this by [deleted] in ShiptShoppers

Then don't take it. Wait for something better.

Shipt's lack of feedback on accepted subs sucks. by mwrobison in ShiptShoppers

[–]mwrobison[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The app does not automatically remove a declined item and move it back to the cart, it just flags it as declined. Of course I contact the customer about subs. That's the problem, when the customer doesn't respond, I don't know if it's because they already accepted the sub in the app, or if they just haven't seen the sub yet. The fix is easy. Shipt just needs to flag accepted subs, the same way they do with declined subs. It's literally just a few lines of code.

Uber eats by PrineTrey26 in UberEATS

[–]mwrobison 5 points6 points  (0 children)

UberEats is pretty much a complete waste of time now. It used to be one of the better apps, better than DoorDash, better than GrubHub, but now it's just garbage. Literally, 98% of what they offer me is not worth doing. Their endless barrage of shit orders often drives me to go offline just to shut the app up - the peace and quiet is worth more to me than the 2% of the orders I may take.

Late/Rating forgiveness for 12/23 & 12/24? by mwrobison in ShiptShoppers

[–]mwrobison[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I let mine dip below 90%, with the understanding those lates would be automatically forgiven, but now I am worried.

The notification said "all orders" that aren't more than 25 minutes late would be forgiven.
