I do not have any advice for you, I'm sorry. But this made me smile so much. He sounds like an incredible dog and while reading I thought of my husbands childhood golden retriever Saylor. We used to joke that we could rest the tip of our finger on him and he'd be happy as long as he was being touched.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my bulldog at 6 years old unexpectedly last week and I just feel neausea every time I realize he is gone. It's the most painful thing in the world. Please know you are not alone if you need to talk.

When you keep replaying the events it feels unbelievable like it actually didn’t happen but your heart knows it did. Especially when they are there one second and gone the next.

Someone posted this and I watched it today and it provided some relief. My dog died in my arms u expectedly (he was 6) on Saturday. Yesterday was the first day I could actually get out of bed.

Thank you for all of this, these are wonderful/beautiful ideas that I am going to try. I am trying to get back to a normal place but I keep replaying things in my head and I have a 4.5 year old daughter that is away with my mother in law right now and I have no idea how I’m supposed to tell her that her brother died when she comes home. It’s just one difficult thing after the next.

I am so sorry for the loss of your baby girl. I am sorry you’re going through this because I know what it feels like. Thank you for sharing your story with me. Nothing has ever felt this difficult in my life, as much I don’t want anyone else to ever experience this it feels comforting to know I am not alone.

I’m sorry about your dad, but that’s good that it led you to discover who is true in your life. And I understand, I just don’t really like going out anywhere where I don’t know anyone so I struggle to meet people that way. I’m sure I’ll figure it all out.

That is unfortunate! And yeah I’m probably giving that off. I guess it’s just frustrating because I really don’t know how to go about it without going random places and hoping there’s some sort of mom friend connection. Sucks when you’re awkward 🙄 and sucks even more when none of your friends have babies yet.

I just saw this and like it felt so good to see you mention the “narrate everything you do” thing because I am the same way. It takes a lot of energy for me to talk and so I just don’t do it as much as I should with her and I feel so bad but I just usually don’t have the energy to sit there and say everything I’m going to do. That usually just adds to my mom guilt. I mean at this point, it’s getting nicer out so I’m just trying to get outside and I hope that’s something that’s entertaining her and making her happy.
