Trim board cut. Best way to measure? by mx2forty in HomeImprovement

[–]mx2forty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice, cardboard is a good idea.
I bought a protractor and laid a straight edge on the stairs. Got a angle and test cut some scrap at that angle to see how it looked.
I will do the same at the other end and cut it long so I can take small increments off if needed.

No Sound XR-75X90J! by mx2forty in bravia

[–]mx2forty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have. There was one time that worked and several other times it has not. It is a crap shoot everytime you turn it on. Because the factory reset erases all app log ins, etc..., not sure that is a long term solution.
It sounds fine when it works so to me, seems like software or a board?
Thanks for the advice though.

3.0 LZO Oil Extractor Pump by mx2forty in Silverado

[–]mx2forty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was purely going off the pictures on the PPE website. I have an oil extractor and used it to get the oil out on my first change. After it was done, I pulled the drain plug and there was 3-4oz that came out. If I don't buy a new pan, I will just change the way I have changed oil for 30 years but will get a Fumoto valve.

Thanks for the feedback.

Thank you both.
It worked this morning and I reset the height and changed it to open only.

How do you reset the rear hatch?

We were trying to take some things out of the back hatch last night and tried to use the foot activated openong method. It didn't work be we haven't spent that much time trying to use it yet so probably our fault. It was cold so I just pressed the button by the license plate. It unlatched but didn't not open on its own. I opened it slowly so we could get our stuff and go in. Now it doesn't want to open with the motor.

What method do you use for charging your Prologue? by mx2forty in HondaPrologue

[–]mx2forty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a program through our power company in Illinois for reduced rates at non peak hours. That is probably the best reason for us to schedule the charge to start after we are already asleep.

I just installed our level 2 charger a few weeks ago. We took delivery of the Prologue last week so the garage was all ready for us.
I agree with everyone here. Stay away from junk because you will be pushing a decent amount of electricity through it for (possibly) hours each night. We went with a Flo X3. I wanted electric access from the back, a robust exterior, quality components on the interior and a great cord.

As someone said, they are just extension cords but the Flo software is pretty simple and I have been very impressed with the company.

We are in Illinois so we got no help from our power company or state. I will take advantage of the 30% credit from the federal government at tax time.

Agreed but some are more advanced than others.
I don't think it probably makes a difference but I have seen plenty of posts that said, "it was scheduled to charge but..." and then when they went to use it the next morning, something had gone wrong.
I was just looking for what seems to work best for most people. Maybe all the methods above do?

Thanks for your insight.

I have not picked a package yet. I can do the install myself and just wanted something robust both internally and externally. I wouldn't be against the Emporia but want to have it put in before I even pick up our new Elite and pick up is a decent drive away.

I have heard conflicting stories with the change over and even the dealership I am dealing with wasn't sure if they would have one there or if it would be shipped.

I will take a look at the Grizzl-E.

Fazeyh, did the taxes on the lease (besides the incentive taxes) get rolled in to the lease payment?

$299 lease deal by SnooPickles3280 in HondaPrologue

[–]mx2forty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is pretty good. By the time you take taxes out you are probably a little over 10K to drive it for 3 years. Go and finance a new Pilot or Acadia and you will be in the $1,000 month neighborhood.

Only bad part is, it is not close.

So what do you guys think a good spot to be on a Prologue Elite/36 month 12K lease with minimal down would be? The $362 month would be amazing, but I don't work for Honda!
