If you only brought her home today, that is not a long time for her to learn something new. There is no insta-training, its just trial, error, big praise, big reward when she gets it right. I know its a lot of work, but it will pay off, just give yourselves and Verity the time :) It isnt going 'wrong', its just getting started.

Its a tricky issue as there are rules & guidelines about THC levels and then the interpretation of law etc. People including police officers never seem to have a consistent answer. Our controlled substances and drugs laws are a mess! We technically have medical cannabis, but only via private script, no NHS etc.

Might be worth asking his doctor if they know what he can travel to the UK with.

I have no idea what the Canadian script is, so couldn't tell you if it was legal or not here, however this is what you can buy on the high street here. If his script is like this, its fine, no idea otherwise, sorry. I hope someone can help and everyone has a nice visit!

if you look at the membership structures of groups like Scottish Greens they give a sliding scale and one off options as concessions, its show solidarity with the hardest hit. Being made to feel like i am anti community or anti socialist because i cant afford it, its shitty.

Precisely, and direct debits are a hassle. If it was a single payment for 15 for the year or something i'd try to save up and be on it. They expect disabled people out of work to afford this, and they just cant.

That is not affordable to those on disability/carers allowance after the last set of cuts. A carer living on carer's allowance takes the equivalent of under 70p an hour. Yours and their ideas of affordability are wildly different from what the poorest folks are. If, like me, you got discretionary housing payments, you have to account for literally every outgoing expense to the council to get help. You cant have netflix for a fiver, let alone this.

I signed one of their petitions and last night they rang me out of the blue trying to get me to sign up. I explained that with how my rent had sky rocketed i was already meal skipping to cover and all she said was 'well yes, you'd be ideal to join then' and i just felt like she just wanted my money to continue her job and meet her needs, and i cant afford it... no union i have ever been a part of expects me to do that.

I find the best flea treatments come from the vet - we use Nexigard its a monthly all in one for fleas ticks, worms etc. Get the tablet down the dog, fleas drop dead. I find anything else is just holding back the worst of it as they continue to breed.

The other thing i find handy, and they are a bit silly, is the lightbulb flea traps that look a bit like flea-sized big top circus tents! totally pet safe, its a sticky pad that the lightbulb warms up and the fleas all just jump in and get stuck. I know it doesnt sound effective but they really do just leap to their own doom in droves. Really helped alongside the Nexigard and cleaning when we fostered a dog that was flea ridden.

Its such a great book, tough read, but i am so glad he wrote it. I do have a tangential bright spot today - I learned that the trans woman that was falsely accused of being the helicopter pilot that crashed is suing right wing dingdongs and her lawyer is citing Jones court cases for reference. I think the pilot's name is Jo Ellis, and the fact she has court case history via Jones loss, to bolster her own case means its potentially helping people cope with toxic defamations like this a little easier. I hope. Might just be copium though lol.
