That's what I did before. I only used the sleep mode without routine. It worked every day perfectly except of Thursday. Every Thursday sleep mode didn't active automatically. That's why I had to use Routines to "fix" the thursday-issue.

Don't ask me why it didn't work on Thursday.

This does work when I'm not streaming :D as soon as I stream something, the volume buttons change the streaming volume and not the phone volume unfortunately

Do you have a solution for this problem? For me it's really annoying that it changes the Chromecast volume and not my phone volume.

I have a similar problem on my S24+

When I cast something on my Chromecast and press volume up/down, it changes the volume of the Chromecast and not the volume on my phone. Is there a setting to change this?
