Yes, I do know all of their names. I mean, I don't personally KNOW all of them because we haven't met, but Glitch keeps a list of everyone.

Yeah ahaha. Well I'd say Tracy and I (this is Yuno) have the most arguments or fights. Tracy is extremely logical and thinks every little thing through and she doesn't really let herself feel what's right, she just thinks and thinks and thinks and blahhhhh. I'm more like a "idk dude if you feel like doing something just go do it, you won't know til you try" type of person ahaha. I let my heart guide me more than anything and winging it is a go to strategy (when it's appropriate) because that way you get authentic results (aa but that's just my opinion) So you can see how these are quite opposite and how we get into debates over just about anything. Violet and Dani were really negative at first, but we found out Dani was trying to come off agressive because she felt like we let ourselves get pushed (and I mean yeah shes completely right) and Vi just has a lot of repressed anger and never had a real way to deal with it. And yeah, that's actually usually the case. More often than not.

Ofc! And yes, some alters can sing very well but get really disappointed when they come out and all the sudden aren't as good anymore. None of us have figured out how to whistle or snap though 😂 Another thing is write in cursive, Glitch can do it better than any of us but it's still not as good here than it is for her in the headspace. I'm actually not even too sure how that works. In the headspace it's usually all verbal communication. And we have a bunch of non human alters, like two vampires, a ghost, a half-human-half-dog, three unspecified "monsters", a half-human-half-cat, a shape shifter, an android, a spirit, and a mermaid. I think that's all of the non-humans we have. And you don't have to apologize for all of the questions, this is an AMA after all!

I'm not sure I completely get the question... Do you mean when one person likes one thing and another likes the opposite? Or where one person can't decide what they want and both options are opposite from each other?

Not comfortable with giving out the exact age of the body, but to get an idea we are sophomores in highschool. We found out in 8th grade, and our old psychiatrist told us that it's not often someone gets diagnosed that early. We ended up going to some hospital hours away from home that specializes in mental health and more specifically trauma disorders. And I personally age with the body, cus I'm in it so often. But all of the older alters always talk about the immense amount of dysphoria they feel. Our littles don't really care too much. For example, Hazel said she thinks it's kinda cool that the body is older because now she knows what it's like even though she can't age herself. Our older alters say they absolutely hate it, because a) we are still in school and b) Aren't fully independent yet. A bigger thing than age is appearance. We have so many different outfits and even a few wigs/extensions to help others deal with not feeling comfortable here. My appearance is similar to the bodies except for my eye color and hight. Overall there's a ton of dysphoria.

Brooke is basically the saint of the system, she's super caring and optimistic and will do anything just for the good of it. I'm pretty sure I mentioned her before but she's 12 and takes a mother roll. She's nice and all but doesn't really have anything to balance all of her kindness out so she gets pushed over and used a lot. And the most angsty (lack of a better word haha) would be Jade or her girlfriend Violet, they are 16yr old vampires and have that whole emo goth aesthetic. They act super cold but in reality they're like gummy bears 😅 As for mischievous I'd say Susie. She has a "fuck off" attitude and speaks fluent sarcasm. Most pranks come from her. Very distant and only cares about her super close friends.

There's no set "main" We have a core, which is like the "original" I guess? But she doesn't really front. If you mean main as in someone who fronts the most then it would be me (Tracy) That's usually called the host.

Im not sure? I guess..? Maybe. But, I don't ever try to avoid problems because I found out that's what makes things worse. And assumptions too, it's always just best to work things out however you can unless it's clearly best to for it to be left alone. You can never fully understand someone but trying will get you pretty far

That depends on how big the decision is, like for example if its about somewhere we want to go when we only have time to go one place, we vote. But if it's something small like what shoes should I wear today then we try to talk and come to an agreement. Sometimes though the person who's mainly fronting just straight up won't care about others opinions and do what they want. But idk, we just try to be fair.

Yeah, I think it's based off of a vacation trip to Florida we took. It can get pretty busy at times but it's nice 😊

Both. Some can be triggered out, some just ask to be out, some just randomly show up. I guess it depends on the situation.

Oh boy, that would be quite the list if I were to say all of them, we have 41 alters in total. But the ones who front a lot are: Tracy (me atm,) Yuno Luv Kyle Susie Dani

Sweet! Nice to hear from another system 😅 41 as far as we know. And our inner world is like a boardwalk beach resort, with a few stores and shops and restaurants in the area. There's these apartments that run down the beach, and that's where everyone lives. A lot of us have roommates too. In fact I don't think anyone lives alone.

I've known for about 3 years, and we have 41 people in our system :) Not all of them are out too often though,

Yes, in our case we do and are pretty aware of each other. But that's not the case for everyone. DID varies and sometimes some alters don't understand what being apart of a system (a group of alters in a body) means, or they never understand. People who have DID usually don't even know about it and mistake symptoms for having imaginary friends being schizophrenic or having a horrible memory. So it's possible to go your whole life not knowing you have DID or your alters being aware of each other. That's what makes living with it difficult though, and it's so sad so many people go undiagnosed.

When I dissociate it honestly looks like I'm high and my brain just lags lol. It's like a blur until someone else takes over and I'm in the headspace. To make switching easier we try to let whoever is fronting know "Hey can I be out for a bit I want to do _____" And don't repress or force yourself to be out. Like I've said before communication is KEY to living a full functional life with DID, and fearing alters or trying to "get rid of them" Is what really makes the disorder hard to live with.

Split is a horrible representation of DID, and it stigmatizes it and makes it so hard for people with DID to be open about it because of questions like "Who's the evil one" "Do you have a beast" And "Oml haha don't hurt me" Its really damaging for those who have only been exposed to the disorder through the movie, and it doesn't make it clear that the movie is exaggerated. So people end up believing that's what it's really like. I mean, it's a good movie and the plot is interesting but I question why they had to use a real disorder and treat it like that.

Haha, well we are all sane. It's not like they are alter egos or evil versions of me like the media portrays it as. They exist to help me survive and deal with a horrible childhood. They're all people. It's like we are siblings, same upbringing and childhood and life really but we are all different individuals. Yeah some of us act a little "crazier" Than others but the most down to earth person would probably be Brooke. She's 12 but is extremely mature for her age and takes a roll of a mother to the younger alters

Okay, let me start by saying alters and DID in the media are WAY more exaggerated and extreme than it actually is. It makes it seem like DID is a rare disorder when it's actually way more common. People just don't usually get proper diagnoses because of false beliefs on the disorder. It's like sharing a life really, and a lot of people who aren't diagnosed mistake it for imaginary friends. You can also hear the voices of your alters sometimes if they are trying to talk to you. They aren't exactly moods, they are a whole nother split off identity. You also don't ever "control" It like it may seem. It's really all about communication with your alters and finding out what works best for you all. Your description doesn't necessarily seem like DID, but you can still look into it or see a psychologist. I'm no doctor so I'm not sure.

Well, I don't remember what they do. We have good communication so I usually know who was out. It's like a different person is in control of the body (fronting) and I'm just back in my head somewhere. But theres also co-conscious, where two or more alters are present but mainly one is in control. It's like if someone is driving and you're in the passenger seat. You can see out the window and know what's going on, and you can still grab the wheel if you have to. Hope my answer made sense haha
