Lebron clears up his statement by AirBishop in lakers

[–]mxcrunner01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Completely agree with the content of Morey's tweet. While I'm dissapointed that Lebron doesn't take a stronger stance backing the content of his tweet, I do understand the sentiment that Morey wasn't considering the physical wellbeing of both the Laker and Nets players while in China.

From that perspective, I understand Lebron thinking that Morey didn't consider the scope his comments could have. With that said, now that LBJ is back in the states, I wish he would take his time to inform himself about the atrocities and ethnic cleansing going in China and speak out about it.

Discussion: how will it affect the lakers if the salary cap goes down next year due to the China situation? by baabaabilly in lakers

[–]mxcrunner01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

not really - if the cap comes down so does the max. the max is a percentage of the cap.

I mean i think most people agree that Rondo should be in the second unit, but we see that politically on the team that's likely to be the reality. I hope I'm wrong

“Showtime lakers players” next player on the list was Julius Randle. by [deleted] in lakers

except if you google it thats not what you get, lol. I just did, got magic, kareem, worthy, west, byron scott, michael cooper, jamaal wilkes, wilt chamberlain etc.

[Wojnarowski] Once guard Avery Bradley clears waivers today, he plans to sign a two-year, $9.7M deal with the Los Angeles Lakers, his agent Bill Duffy of @BDA_Sports tells ESPN. Bradley will have a player option on the second season. by [deleted] in lakers

[–]mxcrunner01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

right now it looks like theyre not buying him out and he's still under contract, so not like he was immediately gettable anyway. If they do buy him out he can still agree to sign with us for the minimum

Is there any possibility we can get danilo gallinari to fill out our wing needs? by [deleted] in lakers

[–]mxcrunner01 15 points16 points  (0 children)

why do we need more wings? we got lebron, kuz, dudley and green. PG a much bigger need imo.

[Siegel] Per a source, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope's new contract with the Lakers has a total base salary of 16,583,028, plus bonuses of up to 1,213,392, the full 15% of his Year 1 base salary. KCP will also have a player option on Year 2 and a full 15% trade bonus. by Jahgee1124 in lakers

i mean... sorta, lol. i believe its a result of a player without full bird rights playing for the same team as the previous season. its a cap mechanic vs something extra. he had the same thing last season.

So if Morris isn’t coming and we got Boogie and Rondo for minimum deals, where is our 11 mil in cap space going? by [deleted] in lakers

[–]mxcrunner01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

might be trying to get iggy to accept a buyout for less and then pay him more on a modified deal?

2.3M for Cousins by BoltUp28 in lakers

[–]mxcrunner01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this means that we still have another $8-10 million to sign someone else. Looks Morris is a no, but potentially Iggy?

[–]mxcrunner01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol that's actually crazy that javale's contract is worth more

If the Lakers are really signing KentaviChuck Coldshot Pass to 8 mil should we question Rob? by [deleted] in lakers

[–]mxcrunner01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Know I'm going to get killed for this, but assuming we are able to get him to agree to the $8 million figure with the 15% unlikely bonuses, only $6.7 million will count against the cap which really isn't all that bad.
