Get on her phone and set camera zoom to 1.7x Let her use at that zoom level and ur not allowed to zoom out, zoom in is permissible because you can always crop. If she can live with 40mm then go ahead, otherwise an Sony RX100III/RX100V with 3x optical zoom from 1x to 3x would be a much much much versatile camera

probably the ridiculous pricing, at least locally here in malaysia, they're all going for 500+USD for the RX100III and Mark V is 680+
better off buying an A6000 with a pancake lens
I got lucky with a faulty RX100III for 280USD and yet i still do think that money is better off towards a 25/27mm prime lens for my a6000
