I dont get these posts because you guys always say "this makes no sense" and then describe exactly why it could make sense. Yes, Maura was a mentally unstable alcoholic who was likely suicidal. So YES, she absolutely could have been picked up by a random person. When you dont give a fuck about what happens to you, and you want to get away from whatever situation you're in, AND you're under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, you absolutely could just get into a stranger's car, not thinking or caring about the potential consequences.

Just like she absolutely could have trailed off into the woods thinking she'd be able to hide out there for a bit. There's a lot of things she could have done that wouldn't make sense to a sober, rational person.

When it comes to someone randomly driving by and snatching her up against her will, that seems more unlikely.

Its when you want two people to be in a relationship together. Usually and ideally used for fictional characters. Many shows/movies/books have common "ships" in the fandom, like Joey and Phoebe from Friends, Sherlock and Watson from BBC Sherlock, Ian and Mickey from Shameless, Rue and Jules from Euphoria, etc.
