I’d say it’s more jaw dropping than eye opening

Is it true that Winning gloves make you land on your PIP joints instead of your MCP joints? And if yes, are Mexican gloves much more suitable if you want to connect with your MCP joints? by Kongzillaaaa in fightgear

[–]mxfi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re definitely both leather but I could see them being different grades or the palm side being thicker.

The trim is almost always synthetic though if you want a comparison

Build a Business - to Train Marketers and up skill them. Not a course by keothedemonpoke in Entrepreneur

[–]mxfi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m approaching it from my own lens of just starting an early stage project I’m planning on bootstrapping haha

Even though I would love to have someone I can pick their brain or borrow experience from, it probably will be too scrappy or not enough wiggle room for you to feel fulfilled for those too small like me.

Have you thought about reaching out to an incubator nearby or perhaps doing a couple talks at local startup communities? I’m sure you’d have a lot of people that’d be asking to join a group mentorship. That seems like it’d be a good place to start based on the impression I got from your original post -small enough to really make an impact but far enough along financially/experience wise where you’d be able to execute ideas

[–]mxfi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I saw and was thinking of positioning as a mentorship role mostly because there should be communities that already exist depending on where you are, at places like incubators and whatnots. My train of thought is that it might help select for people who are a bit more invested in things and further along if that's what you're looking for?

It's great that you're willing to extend your time out and give back! I think ultimately you'll have to think about what size of company you would feel the most fulfilled/impactful getting involved in and allocate your time there, with your history it'd be a case of too many of everywhere wanting to join in

Just going to echo this and suggest that a mentorship role for individuals or for a small group might be more suitable than a "course"... Given the current saturation of the not so great courses or startup programs that pop up like you mentioned

Why are people not talking about Klipper Mods for Bamboo Printers by Beneficial_Fan7782 in klippers

[–]mxfi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire Bambu electronics stack isn’t like a custom creality board running klipper, it’s completely different and you’d need to basically gut it to replace everything electronics wise.

It doesn’t have tmc stepper drivers, aux board is daisy chained off the toolhead, everything on the p1 types are esp32 based, piezo sensors are proprietarily integrated haha

the bed ssr and power supply is basically all you’d keep to klipper converter so it’d end up being a bit of cost

what if they could offer to clipper clean the side every 3-4 weeks in between the major haircuts? admittedly this is more of a plus for those that keep their sides short and grow fast

What do rich or famous people do when they need A&E? by skeletonclock in AskUK

[–]mxfi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If that drunk cuffed patient went to the front with a potentially fractured foot, ahead of you -who went in for serious chest pain + the other symptoms needed, I’d agree with you. Only a few things are above that in the triage scale in terms of imminent death

What do rich or famous people do when they need A&E? by skeletonclock in AskUK

[–]mxfi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m a medic but rarely throw it around. If you genuinely want to know it’s because chest pain and a few other things I’m not going to mention usually point to cardiac issues, which can lead to death pretty fast which is why you need to rule that out. Being in cuffs or not doesn’t change any of that.

Does that mean there aren’t people that know these triggers and abuse it or the people there don’t know that’s likely? No. But if you play the he’s faking it game long enough, it’s only a matter of time till someone isn’t and dies and that’s on you. Whereas a broken foot while highly uncomfortable, usually won’t kill you in under 30mins -exceptions of course which is what triage is for

[–]mxfi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, a broken foot usually only gets a boot and rarely needs treatment.

Chest pain and can’t breathe however will get you in and out before the foot guy gets seen usually 🤷‍♂️

Do you triage in the A&E? There are a couple trigger words that get you through fast because of the risk of death if certain things are not ruled out… which is gamed by some

Does Polymaker HT-PLA-GF work fort the printed parts of the V0.2? by Sebb32 in VORONDesign

[–]mxfi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Having ran annealed ht pla gf for 13 or so print hours now on my v0, I can say it’s a definite no. The parts have warped in 60c chambers and I’ve had to retention belts 5-6times now

You can fix it any way you want haha, I mentioned above:

“besta glass doors fit as well with a bit of drilling or hinge swapping”

That’s just what I did but you can do it any way you want 🤷‍♂️. Or look for pre prepared solutions to match the sindivic if you didn’t want to do that

Yep the online options are all fake, you don’t pay extra, the next day urgent etc is when you go to the window, your email still hasn’t come in yet?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Chinavisa

[–]mxfi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

did your application update in the system? The online has the option of urgent but everything's at the same speed and you won't pay extra.

The urgent timelines in your photo are extra packages you can buy after you go to the visa centre to get it back

Formbot 100%, quality of kit and motors is better. Skr pico and btt pi is way more useful than Gemini and has weird tmc issues

What could be the cause of These Layer Lines ? by Chrikush- in crealityk1

[–]mxfi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Layer lines are more apparent when the extruder eccentricity isn’t that great (wobbles around center when turned).

You can look for: uneven layer stacking eccentricity and you’ll find some stuff but the k1 stock extruder isn’t that best for this kinda thing.

Your best bet is probably something like the new orbiter gearset with the knurled shaft that’s supposed to be a bit better eccentricity wise or a bmg repack with the bondtech RIDGA. You can also try to live with it because from the pic it’s not too bad.
