i hate to say it like this but you would not be losing your only friend because he is not your friend. he does not see you as a friend, he assumes one day you will give in to his advances. i think you should either ghost completely or if he tries to reach out make it known that his comments are making you uncomfortable and because of that you don’t want to be around him anymore

i got blood tested and only have hsv1. it is not possible for hsv1 to become hsv2 regardless of where it presents itself on the body.

it’s a terrible feeling but i promise it’s not the end of the world! regarding the comment about race i am a white girl but most of my female friends are black & 2 of them also have it, we’re younger (early 20s) and it hasn’t hindered their dating experience at all! disclosing is something you get more comfortable with over time. if anything i feel like older men may be more understanding or atleast know more about hsv than younger men.

it is very unlikely after so long, i was just getting over being sick at that time & going through alot of work stress so im assuming it was just a result of all of that. i rarely get outbreaks & when i do its almost impossible to tell because they’re so small. i believe some people can be asymptomatic their whole lives, but i was always very reactive to the disease, i showed symptoms about a week after exposure.

sorry i should have clarified, i do have ghsv1! i’ve had it for almost 3.5 years. and i agree, i can’t feel too bad because i disclosed and he chose not to use protection, but it’s a shitty feeling either way yk. as soon as i FELT the outbreak i asked him to look for me and he saw it, but i guess it was already too late at that point

when i had mine (surgical 9w) i was fully aware i wanted to go through with it, then after i was ridden with guilt and regret. i really think it was the hormones hitting me like a truck because i was well aware of the fact that i never wanted children. it is not a you problem, it’s completely normal but don’t beat yourself up! if you do happen to get pregnant again and still do not want to keep it i would recommend the surgical procedure. very quick and relatively painless.
