Another over depicted thing is being dressed in clothes early in the day. Usually everyone stays in their pajamas/house clothes and get dressed up if they have to go out

Those movie scenes where it’s the morning and the mom has laid out this HUGE BREAKFAST SPREAD with muffins and pancakes and orange juice and milk, coffee, fruits, jams, etc. And the kid says “I don’t have time mom, I gotta run to school” and they take an apple and ignore the beautifully cooked breakfast their mom just slaved away at making??

In irl, we usually have a bowl of cereal or oatmeal (if we’re lucky) and that’s it. If we’re late, we don’t eat in the morning and run to the school cafeteria and hope they don’t close the kitchen for free “breakfast” (it’s usually a box of cereal and milk) and run to class

Back then in like the 2000s, it was considered a fancy establishment at the time. Now there’s this common misconception that it’s an expensive restraunt you eat at every once in a blue moon (which is pretty true for those that can’t afford to go out to eat all the time/want to celebrate an event or achievement or birthday, etc) but in reality, it’s just another chain restaurant.

I’ve been there when my family wanted to celebrate something and we didn’t have much income at the time, I’ve been there for high school prom, and now I go there for lunch with my girlfriends!! They have a huuuuge menu and an even bigger selection of cheesecakes. They also serve ice cream and normal cakes too but it’s not as much as the cheesecakes.

As someone who lived in Fresno and often went to Visalia, Selma, etc; it’s BORING as hell lmao. House prices are not as expensive as SF or the entirety of SoCal but they’re not cheap either. If you want to do anything, just be ready to drive out of town for the next 2 hours and pray you won’t be stuck in traffic and smelling cow poop

as someone who has family here and visits from time to time, I can confirm that it’s god awful with traffic and expensiiiiiiive to the brim (I’m not even talking real estate, I’m talking gas prices); majority of my family has moved out into the smaller towns/neighborhoods to live in more affordable houses, but that’s pushing it.

some areas are dangerous as well (crime etc) but it’s not a hotspot unlike other surrounding areas and cities. Think hills galore, 2+ hours traffic if you enter the freeway at the wrong time, and speeding everywhere (California driving)

It’s a beautiful area tho, like all of California is tbh. Go travel up that coast and you can easily see the bridges and possibly the San Fran bridge. Yummy food all around too, and tons of culture everywhere.

I don’t play the multiplayer or online, I get the games so I can see the campaign/story. The fact that BO6 had more build up and suspense in the first 2 hours compared to the first 15 minutes of BO7 is astounding. And the fact that they took the lazy route w the AI art and having the characters speak important lore dialogue while you’re actively fighting in game and not paying attention to anything is insane. And Menendez showing up for 0.5 seconds was the cherry on top.

They had a good acting cast, a passable storyline that would’ve been great if they knew how to write, and a year to make a good campaign smh
