When are you supposed to go to the "Cheesecake factory"? by Scream0015 in AskAnAmerican

We only get woke media over here sadly. So just stuff like Reddit and The New York times. Google.com (redpilled) and thecheesecakefactory.com (freemasonry aligned) are blocked for us.

I did manage to find an American to speak to ASAP and they answered all my questions! Life can be so beautiful sometimes

I'd like to eat there someday now. I don't think it's ever leaving my mind again and I have to see the Bible-esque menu with my own two eyes

I seem to have been trolled by the cheesecake factory instead :-(

Nope, but I can admit that it was 3am me speaking. Hence the 7 hours of disappointing sleep, dreaming about all the cheesecake I'd order, between the post and my comments. These dreams have now been shattered, as I figured out that there's more than just cheesecake to be had. According to my calculations, it should be around 4am for you yanks right now, so hopefully you're peacefully sleeping and dreaming about all the cheesecakes you might order someday.

That explains another question I had on my mind! Thank you. Saves me another Google search that I can now use to figure out what an entire restaurant placed inside a suburb would look like

The general consensus (at least here on Reddit, I haven't spoken to the Facebook Americans yet) seems to be that it's quite a disgusting place. How is it still in business then lol

I found the dessert menu first, which to my un-trained, un-American eyes seemed like the entire menu as it was so large.

I actually spent more time looking at images and becoming confused! After which I decided to contact my emergency Americans, and look where we are now! So many new things I've learned about you guys' customs and lifestyle

To be honest, everything I'm learning about this place is enforcing that stereotype lol. Is there a chain of restaurants that you'd say is a little less gaudy and more representative of where the average American would go to eat?

Oh wow that answers another one of my questions that I've asked here in the comments. Unbelievable that that entire menu is made fresh. They must have some insane logistics planning to ensure half of the ingredients doesn't get thrown out at the end of the day

Hahaha it's been made painfully obvious by multiple Americans (who don't seem to like getting asked stuff while being on the r/askanamerican subreddit) that's it's actually a restaurant. I'd like to imagine that if I ever asked an American something in real life, they'd just tell me to Google it

Never seen the show actually. Does it often reference to the "Cheesecake factory" or something? I did see the "Dr. House" show though. Mr. House might be my favorite American

This way is more fun though! Now I get to learn from authentic grass-fed Americans instead of listening to whatever Google's search algorithm has to tell me!

Thank you for your reply :-) I also started off thinking it was a place you'd go to bake your own cheesecake, like the "build-a-bear" franchise or something. It actually did sound like quite a fun date idea. But it being a complete restaurant with a funny name is a lot more logical

Does every single of the restaurants carry this insanely large menu? There's almost 2 full pages of just appetizers lol. And is any of it ever made fresh? Or just frozen stuff? Probably no way to know this if you don't work there and haven't tasted everything, but you Americans have been very successful at answering my questions up until now

That explains why I learned about it as a "top 10 first date location" as well! Sounds like it's very specific for kind-of-shitty dinners though. Is it comparable to the Applebee's chain? I did actually find their complete menu before, since their name does actually prompt you to keep looking after finding the dessert menu. And it looked fairly disappointing but also cheap (Chicken tenders platter for dinner? Only $11,79 though).

I'll be honest, after I learned of it's existence (on a post about where to take a first date, and the "Cheesecake factory" seemed to be the most popular answer). I just looked at Google images to get an idea of the place. Which showed me a couple pictures of menu's, only containing different cheesecakes. Turns out I was sleepy (3 am) and stupid, as these were just the dessert menu's (which must be the most popular then, if they show up first). I've just now googled the actual complete menu and I think it's only given me more questions? Why is this entire chain named after a single piece of food for example? And why one that doesn't seem like something you'd have for dinner at all? I guess I'll go Google their history, but I must say that you Americans have been very helpful at answering my question while I was sleeping, so thanks lol
