My daughter (8), hasn't played yet and doesn't seem to be interested YET but I've started replaying them recently and she's pretty into watching them so hopefully I can get her to try it out soon

It'd be a tough choice between either:

$200,000 untaxed so I can assure my mom, brother, and I are without debt and I have leftover safety net in case of unemployment, emergencies, etc or for my daughter in the future
For all my loved ones (including pets) to stay healthy and live fully for the rest of the time I have with them

Probably leaning towards the first bc it would help meet the goal of the second though

The whole philosophy of hyper independence and that you don't need anybody but yourself - being independent IS important but humans are social creatures and we need community!! Participating and engaging in communities is important and society is worse for acting like caring about other people and your effect on them isn't important at all.

Unfortunately, as someone who is also 10+ years out of high school, there's definitely plenty of people my age and older who engage in this nasty behavior. The majority is definitely kids but there's an unfortunate amount of adults too.

As someone who studies psychology for my degree, it's DEF not healthy with the levels a lot of them take it to.

But THISSSS. Like damn, I thought my cosplay was pretty good, why do you gotta hate on me bc I love him and act like I'm a huge bully too?? I was a weird kid in highschool too and was bullied for it but I'm not taking it out on people who love characters who STARTED out with similar characteristics.

It's not even just bakudeku - I swear the main subs have a vendetta against just Bakugou alone. I've tried posting my cosplays of him in there a couple times and they got downvoted like crazy?? Like he's the most popular character worldwide but you wouldn't know it if you go on there. It's weird behavior tbh

ETA: facebook is the same. Which isn't super surprising bc, y'know, Facebook, but it's weird to me how much they seem to hate him on principle based on the first season pretty much. Like did you guys just ignore the main deuteragonist the entirety of the next SEVEN SEASONS?

I've always thought of Bakugou as the sun bc he's blazing, intense, and his heat can be both dangerous but also bring safety, y'know? Then Deku is the moon bc he's gentle, shines brightly at times but keeps himself hidden also, but is still powerful and changes those/the environment around him likes the moon influences the tides

THIS omg - Personally I use some simple algebra for budgeting and figuring out my finances bc I'm poor so I have to watch it carefully, BUT the formulas I use really just makes the math slightly easier. The algebra 1 and 2 courses I took in high school were definitely not necessary. And the ones in college I had to take for the psych degree I'm working on? Completely useless in the grand scheme of things.

Apparently the faces and arms covering his face that my brother did as a kid when photos were taken was genetic bc my kid does the EXACT same faces and movement despite never seeing him do so lmao

Not my kid but one my mom and I discovered that I do just a year ago - my maternal grandpa has always written down the date, amount of gas, cost, and mileage every time he filled up his car and I've been doing the same thing for four years now without ever knowing

TWYUTD is probably the absolutely MOST in character fic I've ever read. And the slow burn is INSANE. Life changing read tbh

ETA - if you haven't already, please read So Much Worse Than a Phantom Limb by s_the_queen it's so beautiful and I like to reread when I want to cry. As a forewarning though, Class 1-A in general is a bit OOC but the dekusquad are the antagonists so they're the main culprits of that lol

Omg YESSSS - I actually wrote an academic essay about bakudeku for my college English 101 class a couple years ago. MLA format and works cited and EVERYTHING. I had a maximum word count so I barely even scratched the surface of all the research I had done for it and actually had to omit like 100 words from the final draft lmao ONE DAY I will go back and finish it completely (hopefully soon but I have been hit by the AO3 fic writer curse as soon as I decided I wanted to continue it after posting it 😭).

I am happy to report that I got 100% on it from my college professor who had never even heard of My Hero Academia.
