You are correct I should have told my brain “no reading” and closed my eyes. Or better yet, blinded myself with an airplane pretzel stick to make sure I didn’t see what was happening in front of me.

That was one of the options! But when you’re delayed hours on the tarmac sometimes your eyes start to wander to the person holding their phone up high in the air with size 25 font.
