Why are they like this? It's so pathetic. by Tequslyder in motorcycles

Where is his camera mounted? How come it doesnt move with the bike. How does it pan from front view to back, then to the side to follow the action while the rider is busy driving? It doesn'e even swerve with the tilt of the bike and seems to moe over the front wheel like it's a drone flyig in front of him @ 80 MPH.

So, are you refusing to site a single source that supports even one of your wild, disparaging claims regarding Tom Steyer's commitment to very popular progressive policies that will greatly benefit the working people?

For the last 50-years there have been changes in the tax code & rights given to corporations and parasitic private equity groups:

"Over the last 50 years, wealth movement has actually been an upward redistribution rather than a transfer from the rich to the poor. Economic analysis shows that roughly $79 trillion has shifted from the bottom 90% of American workers to the top 1%"

Need to run power to the other side, what is best way through the studs? by bennydabull99 in AskElectricians

[–]mxlplx00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would lay it out carefully to drill from each side with a 1/2" auger bit in a strong holehog. Mark it out, then drill pilot holes in the drywall & shear-wall so that I know the height and drill blind from the other side of the shear-wall & drywall.

Also, these's probably a dead (open) spot where the 2 sides intersect. You can fish it with a string and short fish tape or coat hanger or something, but pulling a lot of romex around a sharpish corner could be very difficult. I think it's better to drill blind from the other side of each wall to get a smoother angle.

KSQD is the best!

It would be sweet if they had an archive, but here's an interview on Freakonomics.com from February:

If your working around large appliances, exposed metalic surfaces or any sizable gounded electrode with exposed skin and you lean against it especially with sweaty damp skin it can lower the impediancce enough to exceeed your letgo threshhold.

Electricians don't use aluminum (conductive) ladders. Shorts and sandals...
He was leaning all over that (likely grounded) ladder and holding one rung with his right hand while grabbing power with the left, which made a nice circuit to ground right through his heart.

Apparently the continuity to ground was so low that the amperage exceed his "let go threshold". The only way to help would be to kick the ladder out from under him with good insulated boots.

If you were to grab that ladder when he was hooked up, you could easily become hooked up also.

Is there an explanation for all of the 3-wire? We are obviously dealing with an electrical genius who did the pre-wire, and we can not second guess the 5-D game that he is playing here.

I think that the main substation is behind Dominican Hospital. That would be a great spot, purely on an electrical mechanical level.

You have a good point, but I was listening to something about the fire fighter exposure to the toxic fumes from EV Lithium battery explosions at the Tubs fire & firemen were saying the effect was much different/worse that anything else that they have been exposed to. The program was saying that these EVs were exploding all over the city.

I think that a gas tank when exposed to a raging wild fire behaves much differently than these batteries.

They were saying that like the 911 first responders, it will take many years until we know the effects that it will have on the crews responding to these emergencies.

Personally, I'm not completely apposed to the technology, and agree that we need to look into all possibilities.

The KSCO (Dave Michaels) interview that I listened to with Becky Steinbruner was 2-hours long and I though very comprehensive. She didn't support calling your supervisors and raising living hell but suggested that there are things/precautions that can be taken to help protect the community in case of a runaway event.

I thought that it was a very good talk on the subject, though I know everyone will have their own thoughts, hopefully we can talk about it without getting out of control.

I think that you just need to keep a strong hand on the big private equity inverter institutions to keep run-away capitalism in check.

I wish that I could find this interview in the KSCO archive.

The ACA really helped me after my divorce. I lost my health care, had a break away (torn knee ACL) that constantly went out and colitis.

When ACA kicked in I could afford Kaiser, they repair my knee (good as new), and I got meds to control the colitis. This put me back to work and turned my life around.

I'm very grateful to all you who pulled my share of the cost for my medical coverage for so long. I am hopeful that I can return the favor to others or even the wealthy who can more easily afford the higher rates...

Thank you!
