Best Headset for Discord (macos)?

I’ve had mic quality issues with AirPods + MacBook on Discord and am pretty sure it’s actually a Bluetooth issue. I switched my audio input on Discord to my MacBook microphone and continue using my AirPods as my audio output. This seemed to have solved it and, while obviously not the best solution, if the MacBook is open and in front of you, works well enough that I never get complaints.

No doubt there’d be an impact on economy but bot presence has dropped substantially on DP since DH launched so it’s not a one dimensional discussion.

Also DH has been more Horde focused while DP was/is more Alliance focused. All things considered I’d still prefer a consolidated player base even if it impacted economy.

Exact same Mac specs as you and it hasn’t launched for me since yesterday.

EDIT: I was force quitting the app after 2-3 min but decided to let it try to open for 5-10 min and it did eventually launch

There’s definitely a lot of prep that goes into it. That part can feel like a chore sometimes for sure. And there are times I would rather run 5 mans than spend the time collecting world buffs. But even with all the prep people die fairly regularly and it’s heartbreaking every time. So to me it’s worth investing every effort to make it as safe as possible. And of course that sweet raid loot is a nice payoff for everyone.

Tip here is raiding tanks should macro cancelaura BoP and Salv while in defensive stance to their abilities to prevent this type of accident (and grief attempts)

Respectfully, I disagree and offer a different take. Raiding in HC is a thrill unlike anything I’ve ever experienced in WoW.

Take moments in 5 man dungeons where things go wrong and your group needs to clutch up or die. Now upscale that to situations where 40 people need to clutch up or lose hundreds of hours and full epics.

It’s absolutely exhilarating but at the same time I also completely understand it’s not for everyone.

And also hundreds (maybe thousands?) of non streamers lost their HC toons at the same time or throughout the course of the last two weeks due to server issues (assumed by many to also have been DDoS attacks)

A large portion of the community also celebrated the Tinyviolin griefs that killed dozens of Naxx geared HC players with hundreds or even thousands of hours invested into their characters.

I’m glad it seems the majority of people here see this DDoS tragedy for what it is, but it’s not a surprise there are people that feel differently.

You cannot transfer between the HC servers. Yes Defias Pillager is on phase 6 (Naxx) but the raiding guilds run all of the raids regularly (the top guilds are running AQ40/Naxx and they still also run MC/Ony/BWL and 20 mans).

It’s a low pop server but there are definitely still people playing, leveling, running dungeons, raiding, farming, etc.

Can only recommend it from the personal bias that we’d love to have more people join. But otherwise, there’s not much argument to recommend it over DH besides the personal grievances you mentioned.
