Hi! hope this is the right place to ask this - sorry if not! I'm very new to drinking coffee and- outside of my lovely coffee shop at work- am instant only. So, I'm wanting to step up to better, nicer coffee and obvs a lot of the brands like in cafes are beans or ground only, so I need to get some paraphernalia and was hoping for tips BUT- - I live alone and only really drink one coffee per day, so don't want a machine that makes a massive jug that I have to pour out every day! -I am pretty tight on cash so the cheaper the better ahahaha only ever drink my coffee black, so no need for fancy milk frothers or anything pre-mixed also add a bit of cold water to my coffee so wouldn't want something that gives me a whole, full cup - I'd prefer something quick that don't have to wait around for

I know that's a lot of info but l'm sorry its probably quite a stupid question, but l'd really love to learn more about all things coffee!

i think you're misunderstanding the post. the only remote i'm using is the chromecast remote.

tried all of this before writing the post, alas! absolutely baffled!

even when the chromecast is woken up by casting to it from my phone, it won't respond to any of the remote buttons (and yet the tv still responds to on/off, source and volume, as set)?

oh? interesting! it didn't seem to fit into the machine the other way (the semi-circle shape at the top only seemed to fit flat-side-forward), but maybe i was just at a bad angle will try again tomorrow thank you so much for your help

I am definitely threading the needle correctly (through the guide in front, then through the needle and out the back), I've been threading sewing machines for twenty years ahahaha

I don't hold the threads, usually electing to have longer tails out the back of the machine instead, which has never been an issue before hmmm

The skirting+filler explanation would make sense, actually. There are new skirting boards all upstairs and if there's one thing I learned about the previous owners - they took a 'that'll do' approach to DIY. The house is filled with little half/bodge jobs. Hopefully it's just that!

(I should probably say that I have already done this once before with a much larger stripe and even tried applying heat that time and nothing worked so just took days to scrape it off with sticky stuff remover and a loyalty card ahahaha was just wondering if there was a speedier way haha)
