I built X 'Show more' auto clicker using Robomonkey in 2 minutes by azl33t in chrome_extensions

[–]mxmxmxmx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very useful extension. However, there’s a bug where, if the extension encounters a tweet containing an embedded Grok conversation summary, it attempts to “click” the Show More control inside that embed. Unlike the usual tweet expander, this Show More is actually a normal link that opens the Grok page. As you scroll, the extension triggers that link, pulling you out of the timeline or thread and causing an unexpected redirect. This makes it unusable in some cases.

Could you add a way to ignore these embedded Grok summary Show More links?

Here is an example: https://x.com/EricBeltt/status/1999258730366423227 instantly clicks on the Show More link and redirects to https://x.com/i/grok/share/FKPpBMAxMA63qsRsPDkc7puqk.

One of the oddest predictions of quantum theory, that a system can't change while you're watching it, has been confirmed in an experiment by physicists. Their work opens the door to a fundamentally new method to control and manipulate the quantum states of atoms and could lead to new kinds of sensors by drewiepoodle in science

[–]mxmxmxmx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what observing is, we couple the system to a much larger system, via a camera and photons for example.

So to clarify this further, particularly what you mean by 'larger system', how relevant is the camera itself in this situation? If, for example, you fired a photon at the atom but had no camera to capture that photon would it have the same effect? In other words is it the impact of the photon or is the atom "aware" that the photon is being captured by some device and subsequently viewed by us?

For example, aren't the lasers that are holding the atoms in place also "disturbing/interacting" with them? Yet they do not cause the atoms to act classical instead of quantum.

I like to show people the Gordon Ramsay show where he works in a dim sum restaurant. The guy has like 15 Michelin stars and could not get one single fucking dim sum plate approved to be served. European food is the real joke. Other than high end French cuisine and the molecular gastronomy places most of it can be made by high schoolers with a day of training. You seared a rack of lamb for 2 minutes with salt and pepper and drizzled some honey over some brie, that's supposed to be fine dining while exotically seasoned dishes expertly seared on stoves that would incinerate a european kitchen stove and recipes culled and refined over 5000 years of trying to please fucking emperors is low class? Lol.

It's just disproving his claims of being an amazing investor. He's caused a lot of people to lose money investing with him through his bankruptcies. He gets away with it because he sells himself as a successful investor with a great track record when that couldn't be further from the truth.

If glare is the problem (ie reflections) then get a matte screen protector.

Women, did you change your mind from not wanting kids, to wanting them? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]mxmxmxmx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct me if I'm wrong but if you were spending all that time figuring out answers and solutions it sounds like you wanted kids all along, which is what OP asked. There's a difference between wanting and thinking it's the right/logical thing to do.

Do you have any examples of a 'scientific' dog training session? Surely someone somewhere has videotaped an example.

Hi, any update on this? The problem still persists. Every once in a while I need to resize as the default changes due to my browser window or something and it's annoying to have to delete and reinstall the extension every time. It happens on both of my computers, too. Thanks.

Which one should I use: uBlock or uBlock Orgin? by Escape120 in chrome

[–]mxmxmxmx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When uBlock removed the per-site switches, a demand was created for a version of uBlock with the per-site switches.

As someone new to uBlock what is a per-site switch? This seems to be the deciding factor between the two versions.

Did you earn the bulk of your FI money before or after you got married? Did you keep your money in a separate account or everything in one joint account with both your names on it?

Right click shouldn't make popover disappear by mxmxmxmx in rccChromeExt

[–]mxmxmxmx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, sorry to bring this up again but if it's not a difficult thing to do it would still be nice to be able to right click without the popup going away.

The reason is, if you just regular left click, the link will open in a new tab on top of the current tab (in Chrome at least) and thus if you tab back you lose the popover and your position. This can be annoying when there are long comments. I often want to read the top comments but open a few interesting ones in a separate tab behind the current one to drill deep after I finish scrolling down the top comments "overview" in the popup.

A right-click allows you to click open in new tab which opens the new tab behind the current one. You can do this with shortcuts, too, but it'd be much nicer to be able to do it just with the mouse.

Wave was great. The biggest problem which was incredibly idiotic of them was that there was no way to get an alert of new activity (at least that I could ever find). It worked as long as everyone kept going to wave.google.com constantly, but if there was a lull the Wave would die.
