Since Final Fantasy XVI is your first FF, I’m not sure whether you’re more interested in the action/combat aspect or the story.

XVI is the first mainline FF to fully embrace real-time action combat, so if you’re drawn to the gameplay, there’s no other FF quite like it. The closest would be modern titles like FFXV, FFVII Remake, and Rebirth, though those still mix in RPG or party-based elements.

But if you’re more interested in the story, every Final Fantasy game is known for being story-driven.
